   Family Christmas weekend here was awesome! From the time we first chatted to Ben through to checking out, the whole process was seamless and no request was too much for them. The layout works really well for big groups, the hub worked perfectly for the communal dinner and the weather meant the pool area was very popular! Would not hesitate to use Podium Lodge again.

   An ideal place to stay if you have an event at the Grassroots Velodrome. Literally 2mins drive or 5min walk. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy. The pool and Spa were so good. Large pool and seating. Spa was large and clean. Only issue is that your neighbors could see in your room so you had to close the blinds. Maybe if they put up a wall between the five rooms. Otherwise enjoyed our stay served it's purpose.

   Good motel that is reasonably priced. Didn't use the pool and spa but kids were enjoying it. It was also pet friendly which was nice to see. Friendly dogs about with some owners.

   Firstly let me acknowledge the owner Andy what an exceptional young man you are. Let me also acknowledge Ben the Manager of Podium Lodge you are kind friendly and compassionate we thank you for all that you have done. Andy and Ben you should be very proud of yourselves and I am sure your parents are. Podium Lodge has the most welcoming feeling and any request is not a problem the rooms are immaculate and so clean the grounds are perfect. To the staff you are all amazing to very friendly and accommodating so thank you too. I would say to anyone thinking of booking the lodge do so now!!! as it is an absolute delight to stay there, they have an incredible well equipped shared kitchen great for family to come together. The pool and spa pool are definitely an added bonus. Thank you again From Us in Tokyo 2

   Lovely and clean, with a comfortable bed but didn't like the fact there was no privacy with the units across the courtyard looking straight into our unit (fortunately they were unoccupied) unless you had the blinds pulled down. Sun filter blinds would have made a difference. Also there was a notice saying we had to wash our own dishes; not great from a health point of view if the last occupants had just rinsed them! Didn't feel it was good value for the money.

   Our wedding venue was Red Barn in Karapiro and we're looking for a place that can accomodate our bridal party, family, friends and furbabies since we're all are from Auckland. And my husband found Podium Lodge --- it was just perfect! - Enough rooms for everyone - Clean and tidy rooms and toilets - Dog friendly - Nice location for photoshoots - Dorm where everyone could gather - Laundry - BBQ Area - Lovely staff - everyone was just awesome. Our stay was perfect. Definitely coming back. Thank you and happy new year!

   Excellent facility, a few minutes drive out of town but very quiet and very comfortable. The facility and everything in it us quite new and well designed. Would highly recommend. I travelled alone however this would be perfect for groups, large family events, groups of friends or corporate although clearly it is used a lot for sports teams
