“I have been using Auto Super Shoppe for probably 20 years, they probably had a different name at the beginning when it was just Marc on Johnsonville road, but nothings changed. Never have a problem, always enjoy their honesty and professionalism. Best mechanics in Wellington in my opinion.”

“Probably the easiest rental car operator in Wellington. Best to ring ahead though . You can sort things out over the phone. The car that we took was a little Toyota Yaris which was really economical . Usual terms and conditions always check though to make sure they fit what you’re after . Service was great and fun like it should be . You can Hire using the website and select Wellington Central I think that’s the one . We didn’t bother we just use the phone and got it all sorted that way old school . You can get a bus from Wellington station and you get off at the bus stop just before the Overbridge Johnsonville line bus drivers will know it . And then when you drop off Pop over the road to the bus stop and head back into the city easy as great spot.”

“It's really a precious memory for us in New Zealand. We rented a Toyota Highlander Hybrid for our trip in May and drove more than 1400km. We didn't counter any issue, the car was in a very good condition when we picked at the agency. The staff was nice too, helped us to learn a little bit time of traveller regulations in New Zealand. Defenitely we will take GO RENTALS again in our next trip, couldn't recommend more !”

“Drove the entire length of North Island with no problems. Car pickup and return are outside the main airports but that is not a problem as a free shuttle bus is provided. I hired a brand and model similar to what I drive in the northern hemisphere.. Big mistake as the indicator and windscreen wiper controls are reversed in the southern hemisphere.. Took me ages to get used to that. Would have been better ordering a completely different car. brand. Horn toots when locking and unlocking the doors. Great for finding car when you are not quite sure where you parked but becomes annoying after a while. Can highly recommend this company. which was recommend to me by my daughter.”

“Hired a car to drive to Auckland as my old whip wouldn't make it from welly. First time I've hired a car privately. Got a great rate online. The tall chap with glasses (forgive me I can not remember his name) who booked me in was absolutely amazing. He was calm and professional and gave me some great tips. “Travelled in end Sept / early Oct 2018 in their 4 berth campers and it ran like a dream. We rented the 2 berth from Affordable for the first time in 2016 and decided to upgrade this time round. Absolutely no regrets on that decision - the 4 berth camper had no issues at all and ran better than the camper booked (from one of the big name brands eg britz mighty etc) by our relatives we were traveling with. Lynda and the team were such friendly and welcoming people. Easy to get on with and very helpful in answering all our questions. “Fantastic experience renting with Ezicar. Staff at the counter was very helpful and the Toyota Prado 2024 was in perfect condition. Car pick-up and return is located at the airport's rental car parking lot, making the entire rental experience seamless. Go for the Ezi Ultra insurance coverage and do not cheap out! There will be many trucks travelling at fast speeds passing you and getting rock chips/scratches is quite possible.”

“I had a very good experience with Bargain Rental Cars. An easy process for the actual rental, good pricing, very quick response for being picked up at Christchurch terminal. The staff at the Christchurch airport location were very friendly and explained all that I needed to know. The car itself was an older car but clean. It had lots of little scratches but mechanicy was very good. The back up camera was not great but I use the rear view mirrors anyway, so not a big deal. I did ask for a smaller vehicle than what I got but it didn't turn out to be an issue. I would highly recommend renting from BRC and I will use them again when I return to New Zealand.”

Mr. Vaughan is very friendly and funny; he replied to my inquiry very quickly. He provided me with a recliner and a refrigerator, and the car I rented was in very good driving condition. The gas pedal, brakes, and exterior were all well-maintained, as if the car were new. It is a great companion for your journey; it will take you anywhere, from the mountains to the sea. “The process with Snap was really easy actually and they were far and away the most affordable option among known companies for our 6 day trip. The vehicle was new (2024 model) and drove very smooth. Dropping the vehicle off was a breeze and they didn’t appear to be so particular and fussy about minor wear and tear of the vehicle (obviously they did tell us large scratches and dents would be charged but thankfully we didn’t get any of those). Overall I was really happy with the customer service of their representatives and the quality of vehicle we drove at the best price we found.”

“We had a great experience with Ace rentals. We have tried them in Australia many times but this was first time with ace rentals New Zealand. Their services have really impressed us. Firstly shuttle from airport is so easy and quick to book, and you can book in advance via website. Pick up process is very good and smooth and they had already got our ready with all add ons we requested. On the trip we had got a chip on screen, and we got it checked as well. Then we got a invoice from ac rentals which was less than half of what was quoted by three different repair guys. And ace rentals dealt with it very smoothly with no inconvenience at our end. I’m always gonna use ace car rentals in New Zealand in future. They have my satisfaction”

“Really great customer service. The high winds took out the power to the petrol station so I returned it unfilled, then the wife left her phone in the car. We only noticed once we were at the gate. The young lady ran to the car and got the phone through customs to us and didn't charge us the service fee to fill up as it wasn't our fault. Thanks so much.
