   Les than average. Car was old, dirty, smelly with no boot cover. I was reluctantly upgraded to a slightly less dirty, marginally less smelly car with a boot cover. With no other option other than to cancel and rebook elsewhere. (Not ideal with a young family) I took the car. It did go and it did stop so we were safe enough but the AC gave up after a week. 7 days and 1000km with a family of 5 is not ideal. It’s not 1999 anymore. Poor. Avoid.

   We booked at the last minute, the guy at Main South Rd Hornby was efficient and friendly. The young fella at drop off site by the airport was ready and waiting at 6am to take us to the airport. Highly recommend BRC-Christchurch.

   I was really impressed with how friendly and supportive the staff were at the Main South Road Location! Very straight forward and to the point with all the information, made sure I understood and checked everything and brought the car out for me too. Would definitely recommend, the payment and booking process was super straightforward online too! Will use them again for sure :)

   An easy booking system and with a last minute family matter the service I received in order to be able to change the days and how accomodating they were to reimburse 2 days were awesome. Checking in process with Jamie was very smooth and she was great to deal with considering at the time she was flat out with several retuning vehicles happening at the time. On returning the vehicle Jamie was very pleasant and efficient she presented like she actually likes her job. Thank you Bargain for an overall service and will def look at rebooking through you guys in the future.

   Hired a moving truck, great price, better yet customer experience was superb. Eric on the front desk had everything sorted when I got there and told me everything I needed to know. No time wasted on pick up and drop off, so I could get to moving. Truck was exactly what I needed to get the job done.

   We hired a 'touring super saver' (Nissan Tiida) for a total of 22 days at a very good daily rate. Comfortable, economical and plenty of boot space. Just before the end of our trip, another car reversed into us and caused some damage. Bargain Rental Cars have been very efficient in claiming against the other party so that we don't have to pay the excess.

   Due to border closures and whatnot, our booking with Bargain Rental Cars had to change several times. Each time the staff were super friendly and happy to assist us. Picking up/dropping off the car in Christchurch was also a wonderful and friendly experience, the staff were fantastic, explained everything very well, even demonstrated the snow chains for us. They even showed us an error that we'd accidentally paid for windscreen protection twice and refunded us the difference. The car, a Toyota corolla sedan, didn't skip a beat. It got the four of us with all our luggage everywhere we needed to go without any problems, it managed the slush of the road going to the ski fields just fine. 10/10 would use Bargain Rental Cars again
