First time in New Zealand, our family from USA chose the Apex Rental Car because of their reasonable price with ability to use ferry traveling from North to South Island. After having troubles with tire pressure display on the Hyundai Sante Fe, we decided to stop by the Apex Wellington Office on Victoria Street to have them take a look prior to boarding our car on the ferry the next morning. Apex representative, Justin, was on hand to take care of us in such a way unheard of in America. He personally took us to the expert at Bridgestone Tire and stayed with us to make sure that our problem was fixed. it’s this kind of care that makes visitors want to come to New Zealand. Justin has totally made our worries go away and our family is so grateful to be able to tour the South Island safely. We will definitely recommend Apex to our friends when we go back to the states.
The car was great, super clean and nice. Pick p and drop off was effortless and they offered a shuttle to the airport.
Hired a car to drive to Auckland as my old whip wouldn't make it from welly. First time I've hired a car privately. Got a great rate online. The tall chap with glasses (forgive me I can not remember his name) who booked me in was absolutely amazing. He was calm and professional and gave me some great tips. He booked me back in a few days later when I returned to welly. Whatever they are paying him is not enough - solid worker, great service. Would return to Apex just based on the service from him.
We booked a vehicle from Wellington airport for late afternoon however as to be expected these days our flight was delayed 4 hour, Apex were very helpful in providing an after hours pickup for a minimal fee, thank you. The daily hire prices were reasonable and upon returning the vehicle to Apex they were once again accomodating and provided a drop off to our hotel where we were staying in Wellington.
The team made my rental experience so simple and welcoming as well. Great experience. I'll be back.
Booked a car for just a day returning it after hours. Return was easy as able to park in the street outside. All very simple and friendly service. I’d made a point of hiring from Apex as they seemed to be a local firm rather than the seemingly cheaper Budget and Avis, who I’ve had issues with elsewhere in the past. On arrival I discovered that Apex has been bought and is under the same ownership as Budget/Avis and they share the same offices. However, good easy hire still.
This was my first time ever to hire a car here in NZ, and it was a very good experience with Apex. The booking was so easy, not expensive, and everything is clear (no hidden charges). I've got the 2.4l Rav4 for 3 days to attend a workshop in Matamata (the hobbiton), and the car was clean, smooth and swift (we didn't face any issues with the vehicle). Returning the car was even easier and everything done in less than a minute. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and great range of cars.
Easy to book and pay online with sharp prices and an excellent selection of modern cars in good order. From pickup to returning the rental car 7 days later they were easy to deal with. We drove 2200km with no problems and would book a car again for future travel.
