   I wholeheartedly recommend Affordable Motor Home Rentals. Lynda and the team are exceptionally friendly, and their communication is both smooth and prompt. The camper van provided was incredibly comfortable and immaculately clean, accompanying us happy journey. I hope to have the opportunity to revisit New Zealand for another round of exploration, and when I do, I will certainly choose Affordable for their camper van once more.

   Great experience renting. Very good comunication with Lynda, she helped me with some doubts that I had and make the hole trip possible. The van was equipped with everything we needed and more, decent amount of space for luggage, very well organized, bed was actually confortable and the driving was very smooth. Affordable price and a nz company. 100% recommended!

   I would highly recommend Lynda and Affordable Motor Home Rentals. My fiance and I were travelling around SE Asia and left our campervan booking far too late (in hindsight). After putting out a request through Rankers, Lynda reached out and offered us a fully-equipped self-contained van at a great rate compared to some other providers we were looking at, many of whom had no availability. I'm not sure why this company doesn't have as many reviews as some others as we had a great experience with them and highly recommend. They're family-owned and you always feel like there's help available. We had some teething issues with the van (a battery needed to be replaced, and this was organised smoothly via Lynda at no cost to us). The van had some decent mileage on it (around 100k I think) but drove great and looked better fitted out and more modern than a lot of other campervans we saw as we drove around the country. We hired the van from Auckland rather than Christchurch, the latter where their main office is. The pickup process for the van in Auckland wasn't as smooth as we'd have liked, I think because they have to outsource there, but any issues we had were promptly resolved by Lynda. Basically - if you're still unsure which campervan rental company to choose in NZ, you can't go wrong with these guys. Good vans, highly reasonable rates, and a friendly, personal service. There are lots to choose from out there, and I'm not sure I would have found these guys unless they came to me, but I'm sure glad they did. P.s. I would recommend taking out some excess insurance, either with the company or via third party. Windscreen chips are common in NZ and this happened to us twice. No fault of the company, but something we were glad we were covered for!

   We had an amazing experience with Affordable Motor Homes. The compact but spacious sleepervan (Toyota Alphard) gave us no trouble and was so well kitted out. It was the tidiest sleepervan we saw, and we saw a lot. The bed/dining area was comfortable to sleep in and sit upright in, which was vital in chillier autumn weather. We used the kitchen for almost every meal over our 3 week adventure which took us from their pick-up in Auckland to dropping off in Christchurch. They thought of everything: a little rechargeable lantern in the car, just the right utensils and kitchenware, a cooler box they fitted with an adjustable dial for maximum efficiency when the motor was running or not, solar panels on the roof. The team (family owned business) were great, full of useful info at a phone call. Their depot had a book exchange and a place to pick up (and leave behind) food and other useful things from other campers like tinfoil, cooking oil etc. We forgot something in the van at the end and they dropped it to our accommodation the next day, no problem.

   An older sleeper van but ran very comfortably and very well set out. A lovely family company who are soo nice to deal, and little details are thought of. Lynda even came to collect us from around the corner after our next rental fell through and they were able to find a spare vehicle for us..and lent us some bug spray! Comfy to sleep in, cooking facilities were often preferable to a shared kitchen facility!! A clear, detailed and concise explanation pre set-off. Plus your card is only debited IF you actually have an incident. I can recommend them without hesitation and Affordable will be my first stop next time I visit NZ!

   Travelled in end Sept / early Oct 2018 in their 4 berth campers and it ran like a dream. We rented the 2 berth from Affordable for the first time in 2016 and decided to upgrade this time round. Absolutely no regrets on that decision - the 4 berth camper had no issues at all and ran better than the camper booked (from one of the big name brands eg britz mighty etc) by our relatives we were traveling with. Lynda and the team were such friendly and welcoming people. Easy to get on with and very helpful in answering all our questions. Really glad we went with Affordable Motor Homes once again and we will continue to do so every time we travel to NZ. - Jude & Robert
