I was very happy with Pegasus when I hired one of their "cheap and cheerful" vehicles recently. This was my first time renting a car, so I don't have much to compare it to. But it felt like a good experience overall. The hiring process felt a little confusing, initially. But that's probably only because I was a newbie. Now that I've done it once, I know it will be easy next time. The car itself was excellent in every respect except the window washer didn't work. But that's a pretty minor problem. In every other way, it was a great wee car. The service was excellent. When I spoke to Lee, she was very friendly and helpful. The email communication and updates made everything flow nicely too. I consider I got excellent value for the money I paid. The base rate was very good, and the extra cost to reduce the insurance excess was also very reasonable. I will definitely use Pegasus next time I'm hiring a car, and I would happily recommend them to my friends and family. So thanks Lee, and all the rest of the Dunedin Pegasus team.

Picking up the car was very easy and instructions were very clear. Car was clean upon arrival which I greatly appreciated. I loved their little sticker on the dash that says keep left. Brought me a little chuckle since I knew I would forget that many times being from America. Overall great experience would recommend to anyone. Also best prices in Dunedin for past minute rentals. It was about $400NZD cheaper than the bigger name brands

Really easy experience hiring with Pegasus. I am travelling New Zealand and I hired a Toyota Corrola for 12 days to drive around the South Island. Everything from collection to return was made easy and any question I had were answered very quickly. Great value for money too! I would highly recommend.
Easy to book. Easy to pick up and drop off in the City Depot. We found a motel within walking distance of pick up and there are frequent buses from a nearby. Car was in very good condition. The gentleman at the depot was friendly and helpful. It was good value compared with some of the other companies.
I hired a small car, a Mitsubishi Mirage, for 12 days touring around the South with my husband. The car was excellent for our purposes and very good value for money. We traveled over 1000 km and petrol costs were low. I am happy to recommend Pegasus; the service, cost of vehicle, and ease of collection and drop off at Dunedin Airport was excellent.
