Easiest car rental ever despite having some reservations about everything being contactless. Instructions for collection of car upon arrival at Dunedin airport were sent a week prior to our trip. The car was easy to find & immaculate on collection. Drop off back at the airport was just as easy. Would highly recommend Pegasus & would most definitely use them again.
We booked a small rental car for 7 days after looking at the reviews for all of the Dunedin airport rental agencies. Pegasus had the most positive reviews. And yes, we found everything from booking the vehicle, communication, locating and identifying our vehicle (the furtherest in the rental car area) and retrieving the keys very easy. The car itself was clean and in good condition. We don't hire cars very often but this hire went very smoothly and we definitely recommend Pegasus Car Rentals.
Great service. Hiring process was easy and communication was excellent. The initial car we hired was a bit too small for our needs, and Pegasus were able to sort out an alternative in Dunedin. Nothing was too much trouble for them, very helpful. Both cars were in excellent condition. All in all a great service and I know where I’ll be hiring a car next time we go to New Zealand!
Customer service was top notch, but the car was not. Brakes were squealing any time they were used, the engine sounded tired and lack power to get up many of the Dunedin hills without a lot of strain. Also, in a day where everyone has a smartphone, it’s almost a necessity to have a usb charging option in the vehicle. This was something they remedied for me by Bering an adapter, but the cigarette lighter port(or the adapter) had a short so it was tough to keep things charging.

The whole process of choosing and completing the booking is so simple! We got the car we wanted, at the price that was friendly. We had to make some amendments to our booking and it was so easy to do everything over the phone! At the airport the car pickup was simple. The car was perfect for our needs, and the return was just park and drop the keys into the drop box. Thoroughly recommend Pegasus and will always use them in future!
By far the quickest way to pick up an awesome rental car in great condition. Hire from Dunedin Airport was so easy with key in the lock box ready to go and return just as straight-forward.
