“Our first visit to A'ruma Malaysian Long Bay. Delicious Malaysian food especially their pie tee and otak-otak. Friendly services, a lovely restaurant to spend time with family and friends.”

“My partner went to this shop to pick up sandwiches for our holiday brunch, and it turned out to be such a unique place. It reminded me of my previous trip to Japan, with its cute interior design and cozy atmosphere bringing back fond memories. We ordered a Pork Katsu sandwich and a Daishi Eggplant and Mushroom sandwich. The katsu was impressively large and, although it cost around $15, the size was more than satisfying. It tasted great too. The eggplant sandwich was also delicious. I never imagined eggplant would pair so well with sandwich bread, but it was a fantastic idea. This place truly stands out, and I highly recommend it.”

They had multiple vegan pizza options, and multiple kebab/iskender options too! I got a vegan chicken kebab with vegan aioli, it was bloody lovely! “We have just tried our first takeaway pide from the Woodspirit food truck and it was delicious! The chef is engaging, the service is super quick and the serving is very generous with a side of whole chilli peppers. Very reasonably priced and beautifully packed for easy transportation.”

“This sushi train spot in Westgate is always busy, especially with families and groups - it’s clearly a local favourite. I came here today with my parents, who love this place and already know all the best things to order. We started with the fried chicken nuggets, they were super crispy and a great way to kick things off. Ordering was easy with the QR code on the table. We got a good mix: some fresh salads, a sushi set, a sashimi set, and a big bowl of udon to share. The sashimi was probably the highlight - really fresh, nicely presented, and the pieces were surprisingly generous. We enjoyed every bite. The udon was also a perfect way to wrap up the meal - warm, hearty, and satisfying. The vibe here is really friendly and relaxed. It’s a bit pricier than some other sushi train places, but the quality makes it totally worth it. Definitely recommend if you're looking for solid sushi in West Auckland. + visited again and had a fabulous dinner (added more photos)”

“Very busy restaurant, we went around 7:30 and it’s nearly full house on a Wednesday night. Food was great and authentic as usual. You have a lot to choose from on their menu. Portion size is great, I won’t say it’s pricey.”

“Cute small japanese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable athmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful. They seem to like working there and do a lot for the positive vibe. What I've ordered so far: Takoyaki - new favourite dish at Coo's, I just had it today and it was so creamy and delicious! Gyoza - absolutely amazing, especially with some soy sauce. Can 100% recommend this as a starter or to have with a drink. Katsu don (Pork) - was amazing, it could do with some extra tonkatsu sauce for the rice but was still very (!) good. Ikageso - delish little calamaries. Nothing more, nothing less. Karaage don - the karaage was nice and juicy. I am not yet sure how it compares to the chicken katsu don but can recommend. Eel don - beautifully presented and I loved it, but I like eel in general, so if you are not big on fish, I would not recommend this. Umeshu - nicely presented and tasty, reminded me of some dried plums I've had back in europe”

“Wow this is a return visit to this intimate dining venue after a few years. This time I was with my family. The portion sizes are generous. We had three small dishes and three mains with three sides. The small dishes were larger than expected. Pork, prawns and fish tartar all different but delicious. For a main I had the sweet and sour pork belly, this my go to dinner choice and it was mind blowing. I have rarely had a dish that was so perfectly balanced between rich salty pork and the sour sauce, I was in heaven. The duck fried rice and beef curry were rich and flavourful. No one had food envy and there was enough to share, we all loved it. Cocktails were lovely too, high recommended dinner experience. I'll let the photos speak for the cosy intimate atmosphere.”

“Deliciously amazing Don buri. Partner had the teriyaki chicken which was melt in your mouth and I had the misodare pork which was perfect. Pricing wise is cheap for what is offered. Going back again to try the rest of the menu!”

“This was our first time visiting this pizza place after seeing some good reviews. We ordered the Chicken Slingy Pizza and the Spicy Lamb Pizza. I can definitely confirm this is one of the best pizza places on this side of Auckland. I've tried all the pizza shops in the area and this is definitely the best with regards to taste, quality and value for money. They also provide great customer service with friendly staff who were always smiling. We will definitely be going back there. Thank you, It's Pizza Time!”

Had the $31 burger which was never going to be the best value, but it was very nice. Had the ribs last time and the pizza too, all very nice. Some of the best thick cut fries I’ve had. The view out over the Waitākere Ranges was beautiful, despite the overcast evening. It was unfortunate that we were unable to have our preferred and reserved outdoor seating, due to the verandah being inaccessible for wheelchairs.”

As someone who is quite particular when it comes to food, I must admit I was thoroughly impressed by the delicious pizzas. The flavors are truly one-of-a-kind, and the ingredients are spot on. With a wide variety of options, there’s something to suit every taste. As a fan of spicy food, I especially enjoyed the Tandoori and Supernova pizzas, as well as the Supernova fries. “Hey guys I can just give my feedback and my experience, so last week I went at the chicken and chips shop in Newmarket and was stunned at the packet chips was going for $8 Irritated to my purchase a went to the shop next door which happened to be a Role on Don. Now take into account that I bought the last serving of spicy pork with noodle and rice. As the shop owner was about to close the restaurant for the night, I can honestly tell you is the best value for money. I am south African born in my partner is from the Philippines. We both have decided that this is by far the best Japanese food that we've ever eaten in years since lockdown actually. The guy was friendly as anything his shop is clean and everything you see was just absolutely perfect and in its place, the atmosphere was good and the guy actually takes a step back and wants you to decide what you actually want, another than the first thing you see, as some places would. I honestly recommend you go to this place. It is funny before I left the guy did say that the spicy pork is spicy I think it was delicious and spicy super duper 100% fantastic...”

Grabbed a takeaway lasagne (made in less than 10 minutes), walked home (less than 5 minutes), and chowed down. Super moist, super yum!
