“After reading and hearing all the amazing feedback from the local community, I had to try a Burger and Chips. The Chicken Burger was Huge and full of Real ingredients, I went with the Chicken Aloha Burger. The seasoning was perfect, the flavor combinations with bacon and pineapple were exciting and filling! *Real Chicken lovely and Tender, the salad components all fresh and crispy. I couldn't finish all the chips myself, the aoli sauce just topped it all off well. Highly Recommend!! If your passing through Hellensville, pop in and try one of their meals. Delicious and Fresh !!”

They were extremely busy, which reflects their ratings clearly. Had their signature pizza, which was great and a pasta dish I forget the name of. Both were great. I would definitely go back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend.”

“It's half-price when I went there after 4pm. I felt much better. As you know, prices in New Zealand are too high. There was sushi for vegetarian and there were various kinds of fried food. The fried food was sweet and delicious because it had chili sauce on it. It was a satisfying meal. I want to try Donburi next time. All the food in Marusushi looks delicious.”

“This Japanese restaurant in Newmarket is such a delightful gem, offering you delicious menu with high quality ingredients with authentic flavours. The chef is amazing, she cooks succulent chicken with a healthy mix of tsukemono and options to choose purple rice. Even their miso soup comes with chopped tofu. They change their tsukemono on different days. So far the karaage chicken and teriyaki chicken are delicious, feels like a hearty Japanese home cooking. Give them a whirl — just across the Newmarket train station!”

“A hidden gem that serves up some fantastic ramen and other dishes. Went here with my fiancée to grab some ramen and katsu after a long day of adventures and hikes. They are in a rather odd location, a warehouse district with no discerning signs of a restaurant in the heart of it. However if you have the drive it has definitely worth a stop. Staff is super friendly and dishes come out piping hot. Would just mention that there isn’t a ton of seating inside and outside so larger parties may run into some obstacles there. However a more intimate dinner date is easy.”

“Hands down our favourite local takeaways. The quality of food is brilliant (burgers are my favourite) and the staff are lovely. They are really busy on Fridays at peak times (because it’s so good) but staff are always super friendly and helpful. We make sure to order around 5pm on a Friday for shorter wait times. We’d prefer to enjoy dinner from an owner-operator place like PL rather than a chain restaurant any day!”

“Regarded as one of the top three Italian restaurants in North Shore, this Trattoria does not fail to impress. I recently brought my parents for the first time here, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious dining area, complete with offerings like gelato, formaggio, salumi, and il pasticcino, sets the stage for an authentic Italian feast. The service, professional and like a well-oiled machine, only adds to the charm. We indulged in the Leek and Potato Soup, Capresina, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Tiramisu, and Tiramisu Eclair. The Capresina was a standout, generously topped with premium Burrata and Parma Ham. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole was a revelation—fresh pasta, perfectly cooked clams, and a symphony of flavours that made it the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, their Tiramisu is flawless. The prices are more than fair for the quality and craftsmanship of the dishes. Practicalities? Plenty of parking and a grocery shop next door make it a win-win. My advice? Just go. “stopped in for dinner on our way home from watching the ALL BLACKS and i must say the owners are absolutely beautiful people, food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was so peaceful and friendly i would highly recommend the food was delicious and will definitely be back. this place is a must especially if you get into photography aswell the owners both have some awsome photography work on display on the walls and in a few published books our whanau throughly enjoyed it ❤️”

The spicy chorizo was a standout but we also liked the truffle prosciutto as they both had subtle flavours balanced by great dough. Service was amazing as well ended up spending 4 hours catching up and the guy didn’t mind and never even pressured us at all. Great cozy spot that we’ll return to for sure.”

“This pizza place was a hidden gem. On Friday evening, after finishing work, I went there with my partner since I had been wanting to try it for a while. Parking was a bit challenging with limited slots and no street parking, but the cozy, welcoming atmosphere made up for it. The staff who served us was very kind and provided great recommendations. We ordered two pizzas: Mushroom & Ricotta and Chicken Meatballs & Artichokes. The mushroom pizza was incredible, with ricotta cheese perfectly complementing the crispy crust. It wasn't too salty or greasy - just perfectly balanced. The Chicken Meatball pizza was equally amazing, with fabulous meatballs and a delicious sour lemon zest. For anyone who loves pizza, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!!”
