“Very helpful team at reception, gave a calming spray to our cat. The vet was very thorough, asked a lot of questions to understand the issue. The consultation cost was ok, but the two drugs prescribed - WOW! Anyway, the cat is definitely more comfortable today. Thanks Franklin Vets.”

“BirdCare, in Greenbay, are good at taking care of sick, injured birds. I've taken a few native birds in over the years. They could do with more voluntary contributions of donations, which helps take care of the birds, either a money donation or frozen bags of mixed veges, like peas, corn, carrot..”

“MicroMed spray has been an ideal preventative intervention for my German Shepherd. As soon as I see him biting or licking a spot, I use the spray. 9/10 it will clear up before I have to do anything else. It is also good for when there is a hotspot, to help him pay less attention to it alongside shaving/cropping the fur so it can heal.”

“Staff were really accommodating and caring when we had an emergency late afternoon on a Friday, really appreciate then getting us in and looking after our cat after she got into a scrap that left her with multiple injuries.”

“Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The DIY pet wash is super popular and you can end up waiting. My advice would be to go during the week if you can. If its not busy, you can get an extra token if you have the unlimited wash for $99.”

“Beautiful place, beautiful staff, great customer service, and great prices. Our rottweiler had hydrotherapy for the first time.It's definitely worth doing it. She had an injury a couple of months ago. The hydrotherapy helped her to use her injured leg and will get her leg strong again. DIY wash included with hydrotherapy(that's an extra point). We took our other dog also for a DIY wash, great set-up, and shampoo. Thanks heaps. We will be back for hydrotherapy and dog wash next week.”

“Franklin Vets Waiuku is by far the best veteranarian clinic I have been to in years. The way they care about the animals and the pet parents is outstanding. The receptionists are lovely and very thoughtful and always make me feel comfortable. The veterinarians are really nice and very informative. I would not take either of my pets to another clinic”

I was a bit undecided on the carrot snacks for horses and if they would be okay for my dog. “Wonderful. We had exceptional hostesses with Marlene and Tony. Amazing breakfast, everything you would like, our Cream Room was a very pleasant room, everything was laid on for you. Even a hair dryer. You could help yourself to tea, coffee, and for a small fee beer, wine. Cookies to go with your cuppa. Mr Darcy added a special touch. The guests lounge was a very relaxing space. Will go again.”

The atmosphere is amazing with eclectic decor and the team that served and cooked were brilliant. The meals were worth paying a little more than we usually do for with tender rump loin and then bread pudding capping the session off. Thanks for another worthwhile experience.”

“By far one of the best places I have stayed in years. travelling for work a lot, I get to stay at a lot of places and never really feel the need to leave a review one way or the other, but this place is worth a mention. From the first encounter with staff to the last, the experience is friendly and efficient, the room I stayed in was very spacious, extremely well appointed and super clean. Stayed in the middle of winter so noticed the double glazing and individual heat pumps in each room immediately as the apartment was cosy and warm throughout. Vehicles are securely parked underground with easy access to elevators and ample parking. There is a high level of security with elevators requiring room tags to access the correct floor adding additional comfort to lone travellers or people leaving and returning at odd hours. Finally - as an added benefit - you open the doors to the balcony and realise that there is small stream right behind the apartments that you can hear all the time. (Bit too cold during my stay to leave the balcony doors open over night, but in summer this must be the most tranquil experience ever) - I have advised my company, our corporate travel agency and my co-workers that this is by far the most outstanding property I have stayed in for a while and when in the neighbourhood, staying here is an absolute must.”
