Beautiful setting!! I only stayed 1 night after flying into Auckland. Easy 45 minute drive from airport. (I arrived by 12:30pm, though I understand traffic gets worse later in the day). Extremely peaceful and quiet! Host showed me around expansive garden and helped me identify plants.
We need a place in a hurry due to a death in the family, and we are so glad we found the Silverdale Garden Stay. Lovely rooms and beautiful surrounds. Close to everything you need. The hosts, Selwyn and Dellis, are very accommodating and flexible. Highly recommended.
The hosts were unbelievably gracious and accommodating and the property itself is like an outdoor museum.... obviously cultivated with the greatest care and love! We felt so welcome to explore, and the little treats and notes around the spacious rooms were a delightful touch!

Had a wonderful stay with Selwyn and Dellis. Fantastic hosts and the service and amenities were top class. The beautiful garden to wander around in and sit by the lake watching the swans and ducks was so restful. Came away regenerised. Thank you.
Very comfortable place. We liked S3lwyn as open, friendly person. The garden is the highlight, as per us. It is well maintained & strewn with nice art pieces of animals and characters. The ducks and Swans are nice. The room is compact but the open and enclosed sitting areas are ideal for tea coffee or drinks. The breakfast provided is sumptuous.
Stayed 2 nights in a sweet and compact caravan. All you need for comfort and set in pleasant quiet garden. Great welcome on arrival and instructions on use of caravan appliances etc. 2 happy customers.
This place is a secluded and relaxing country style BnB that will definitely help you unwind and recharge. The grounds are picturesque and yours to roam around. The hosts are warm, friendly and attend to your every desire, even hooking us up with matches to light our daughter's birthday cake. The beds are huge and comfy. The shower is 5 star experience all by itself. It's also very family friendly, with the hosts giving our daughter a bag full of toys. Note that the TV is very small and is not located in the best spot, but it really isn't a place to waste watching TV anyway, we drank a bottle of wine in the gardens and had a great time. Overall, a top place that deserves all the great reviews it's got.
