All 5 of my lovely cats have been under the care of Somerville Vets since it opened in 1993. We have always always been warmly welcomed and my fur-babies have received excellent care. I highly recommend the team at Somerville Vets.

A special thanks to Dr Cato who tackled our aging cat with her knot problem and came away unscathed and the consideration she shows for a nervous cat. Sommerville Vet take Vet care to the next level. The empathy, love and care this Vet Centre gives their patients and their owners/parents is beyond outstanding. Having Sommerville vets care for my baby is the only option for me. When I lost my previous fur baby due to genetic disorders, the incredible Vet - Jesse, Steph- the caring nurse and the wonderful reception staff gave him a dignified ending, gave me endless compassion and took care of him until I picked him up the following week. I took my new baby in today, and received the same love and affection as every previous visit. Thank you Sommerville Vet for going above and beyond your calling, and loving our precious babies the way you do. If I could give you 10 stars out of 5, I would.
We had the best experience today! Somerville vets were able to see us last minute on a Friday afternoon (first time client). They were all so lovely and welcoming. Were able to keep our dog calm while getting checked and had amazing service and knowledge. We are switching to Somerville vets as we had an outstanding visit. Thank you!
Sommerville Vets have officially set the benchmark for what top tier pet care looks like. I took Lulu in for what I thought would be a straightforward checkup and instead watched her be treated like a full blown celebrity guest appearance. She left with her tail up, her confidence higher than mine, and I am fairly sure she now expects autograph sessions at future appointments. The service was professional, thorough, and genuinely caring, with clear explanations and a real focus on Lulu’s wellbeing. If your pet deserves the five star experience, Sommerville Vets deliver it every time. Highly recommended.

Somerville Vet was my Veterinary Svc, literally 2min away from home. 4.30pm I phoned ahead advising my dog had collapsed and needed urgent care. Their response, Take him to the emergency Vet at either Manukau or Mt Wellington. I repeated he has collapsed and needs urgent care. They wouldn't take him .. they didn't care. It took 40min in peak hr traffic to get him to the Emergency Clinic in Mt Wellington and he died 2min before we arrived. Why are you there if your not going to help animals in need ? Your response in this situation is disgusting and I will be picking up my cats records, because I know I can NOT rely on the Sommerville Veterinary Clinic to look after my animals in an emergency. If I could have given you a zero rating I would have.

Best vet in Auckland! My family and my partners family are long standing clients for all our family pets and the service is nothing short of perfect.
