“We booked 3 studio rooms for Hot wheels monster trucks event. Rooms are lovely, warm, comfy and clean. All very well, we hope for this as standard. AEPM told standard to hold their beer and boot it. Courtesy call day before event re: early road closures as we were traveling up to AK. Checked us in and allowed us parking from 11am. Warm and informative welcome with the gate to Eden park laughably close. I haven't even left yet and I'm side eyeing the experience as narniac in its unassuming, hidden gem state. Will be back without doubt.”
“Had a commercial shoot here today and were stoked to find out heaps of celebs have stayed here too! Staff friendly, and the brand team loved this place. Honestly, I reckon I might come back for a staycation sometime”
“John and Mel are just the most lovely hosts! my husband and i stayed here for 1 night and were warmly greeted with over the top hospitality that made us feel right at home and comfortable! The historical home is beautiful, and the breakfast was so tasty! John was super knowledgable about NZ sights and points of interest- it was great to hear the story and history of the house as well!”
“The Vineyard Cottages are stunning! I spent a few days here with my friends and family before my wedding at Kumeu Valley Estate. The staff at the Vineyard Cottages are like no other, they are incredible! Everything you could think of was considered and they make your stay extra special. You feel like part of the family when you stay there. The rooms are perfect for 2-3 people to stay in and getting ready for a wedding it’s lovely being able to dip in and out of each others cottages. The small extras are such a luxury - mini jams, lovely bread, milk and juice in classic bottles and if you book the bridal package the breakfast platter is incredible. I would highly recommend this venue to any brides and her friends looking for a lovely setting before the big day or for anyone looking for a lovely relaxing escape in the country. An added bonus is the beautiful backdrop for photos! Thank you again Rae, Ellie and co ❤️ we will be back!”
“This was our second stay in the villas. We really like the somewhat remote location (but not too remote), the quiet and the beautiful view from the villas. On clear nights, the sky is incredibly as there are not many other locations around. There are lots of birds to watch, and some are not even very shy. The villas are well equipped, nicely decorated and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge during our current stay. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and provides wonderful bathroom products. We would definitely choose this location again. There are two things that might be worth improving: 1. The pool is always covered to avoid having to deal with falling leaves in the water. You have to uncover it any time you want to use it and cover it again after use. As a guest, this does not come across as very welcoming and it would be more convenient if someone to opened it in the morning and covered it at night. 2. If you stay for more than one or two nights, it would be nice if someone would exchange towels or bring extra towels and take out the trash. We did not expect that there was no service at all during our stay and this should be communicated more clearly.”
“The hosts, Bryan and Margaret were wonderful...! They would go the extra mile to accommodate their guests wants and needs. The facility and the rooms were very clean, and the beds were of good quality and very comfortable. Breakfast was always a pleasant experience with good food and conversations with the other guests that might last a couple hours. A very personable experience. The only down-side was the distance from the airport. Cab fee is spendy, but with a call, Miss Margaret may be able to make less expensive transportation arrangements.”
“I love this place. It's been a few years since I stayed, and wow! The refurbishment of the rooms are incredible. It's the cleanest newest tastefully designed decor I have experienced in a long time.”
“We stayed at Cordis for a girls’ night and it was exactly what we needed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and the whole place felt relaxing and calm. The facilities are fantastic – the rooftop pool was warm and we honestly felt like we were on vacation. Our room (21713) had a stunning view looking out over the city, the Sky Tower and right across the water to Rangitoto. Such a lovely stay and a great spot for a little getaway in the city. Would happily come back again”
“Staying at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm and welcoming. The location is perfect with beautiful waterfront views and easy access to restaurants and the city. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel special. The housekeepers even gave my son a free KitKat which made him so happy. Small touches like this really made a difference.”
“Our family had a fantastic stay at The Sebel Manukau. We loved the accommodation—the suite was very spacious, providing plenty of room for all of us to relax and feel comfortable. The good breakfast was the perfect way to start our day, and we especially appreciated how incredibly welcoming the staff were throughout our visit. For travelers, the location is ideal, offering a quick and short driving distance to Auckland Airport (AKL), which made our morning departure absolutely stress-free. Highly recommend!”

“We had the wedding of our dreams at Flaxmere House, and you will too if you choose it as yours! Vanessa and her team go above and beyond and make your special day stress free and one to remember for life! When my partner and I visited, we knew this was where we wanted to say our I do’s and spend time with our loved ones. Flaxmere House is a stunning venue with boutique accommodation offerings, 5-star food, and out-of-this-world service delivery. Thank you, Flaxmere Team; you were incredible! “Very happy to recommend to visitors to Auckland. Good room with all necessary amenities and a spa bath. Hosts are responsive and pleasant. Off street parking is ample. Lots off local shops and eateries. Easy access to the city, the harbour, motorways and the bridge.”
“Loved the location of this place! Next to Cafe and 10 mins walk to the nearest mall! Also direct bus services to the city and around and just next to the Morningside Train station! Great if you don’t own a car or a looking for an intermediate place to rent between places! Enjoyed a private stay. Although having your own network would be great and good if you don’t mind abit of husstle and bustle till late as the place bar near by is rather busy on weekends and some weekdays :)”
“My wife & I enjoyed staying 3 nights. Tina the owner was really lovely to deal with making the booking & arrival pleasant. Tina has created a cosy lounge area to relax in with a warm fire going. The bedrooms with there large beds are tastefully set out with views across Auckland on the top floors. It was a treat to stay hear, easy to find & convenient to all amenities only 20ish minutes from the city. We would return here if needing to stay in Auckland again”
“Had an AMAZING time. I never post reviews but I have to say their staff was super friendly, my partner and I loved the kayaks available and the bay nearby was perfect for a swim when the tide was in. The accomodation was very clean, had a great set up with a huge fan on the room to keep cool in the summer. Waiting for another available date to open up and will definitely be booking again!! Also..catching the bus to Countdown and Oneroa (the main beach and town) was really easy, with the bus stop only being a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend :))”
“Can’t recommend Marino Ridge enough! Caroline and Peter are amazing hosts. They’re very knowledgeable about life on Waiheke Island and gave us lots of helpful recs for our whole trip through New Zealand. Marino Ridge has incredible views in all directions and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s a great location, with easy access to the ferry, hiking trails, and Oneroa Village.”

“We loved spending 4 nights at Wild Thyme! Our hosts were gracious and helpful, with Bruce picking us up at the ferry and delivering us back to the ferry at the end of our stay. We recommend spending a day touring wineries with Jules. It was also easy to walk into town from Wild Thyme, or catch at bus at the bottom of the hill. The bus took us to additional wineries!”
“Perfect getaway spot! Really homely apartment and so thoughtfully prepared (beach towels/mat, fresh milk, coffee, snacks, wine, water, beer). Location was perfect and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. Can’t wait to return! Everything we were looking for :)”
“A charming guesthouse on the outskirts of Auckland, quiet and relatively close to the city itself, half an hour by car and conveniently located near the Swanson train station which leads to the city center if necessary. With all the necessary conditions for backpackers A fully equipped and functional kitchen, laundry services, car rental. A great place for a soft landing in New Zealand”
