   A really great, quiet campsite & good value for money. Great location in terms of access to the beach. Friendly staff. The facilities were good & very clean. Showers are the nicest of any campsite I’ve been too by a long way but there weren’t very many so expect to wait a bit if the site is busy. Overall highly recommend & I ended up staying twice during my time on North Island.

   Booked the new tui cabin for the night to crash after a work do at the surf club. Camp is tidy as, cabin was awesome, Cosy bed, staff very friendly and informative at check in Mint location for those staying out of the area, come and visit

   Our experience has been wonderful, would thoroughly recommend. Accommodation quality is exceptional in all cabin types we have tried over the last two weeks....which include the 1 bed deluxe, 2 bed duluxe, kitchen cabin, and fantail. The staff are highly professional and we cant thank them enough for the flexibility and willingness to help us in difficult circumstances given the collapsing retaining wall at our home. Jas, Emily and Jacqui, your managers and the cleaning and maintenance crew.... we will never forget what you have done for us, we are truly grateful. Regards Sue and Ray

   Locate, location, Location!! This campground is located pretty much right on the beach and is beautifully well kept. Very clean with immaculate lawns and shrubbery. BBQs and garbage located throughout. We were down closest to the beach and the kitchens and unisex showers and bathrooms are less then 1 min away. For women's/men's only showers and laundry, have to head up to middle of site about 2 mins. Was 1 washer and 2 dryers. Tons of stuff for kids to do. It is a huge campground. Very helpful staff at reception and a lovely man showed us all around. Very welcoming. The only issue we had was getting on the wifi but had coverage.

   We really enjoyed our stay at Red Beach Top 10. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with great facilities throughout the park. The kids loved the playground and trampoline, which were definite highlights. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t quite play ball during our visit, but it was still a bonus having the beach right on the doorstep. On the rainy days, there were also plenty of options nearby to keep the kids entertained. Overall, a great spot for a family getaway.

   We went there during Easter and it was not as packed as we thought it would be, which also meant we had more space to ourselves! There was a beach access with pinpad, and as it was Easter, there were quite many activities for the kids! The campground is very big, the sites are divided into different sections- powered, non-powered, cabin and etc.; and the campsite (we had a powered tent site) is very spacious. The access to the town is easy and there are many cafes and restaurants at a short drive away. There is also a food truck onsite selling hot food, ice creams and coffees. The bathroom facility is located on the second floor and it was a bit of inclined walk from our site. The kitchen is quite small so we would recommend having your own cooking utensils if you plan to cook quite frequently.

   We stayed at kitchen cabin for 2 nights. We found hair on the double bed sheet and pillows so rang the after hours phone and informed them the issue (around 7pm). A lady turned up about 15 minutes later and she questioned while looking not very impressed: "what was the problem?". She then went on to say we were the first ones to ever complain, sometimes hair get stuck from the wash and they don't always see it when the lighting is poor, had we not looked underneath, we wouldn't have seen anything. I asked her politely if we could have the sheet changed. She said "this is after my working hours, but I'll change it". I appreciate she probably had a big day of working already so thanked her for turning up promptly and changing the sheet. She left the unit looking a lot happier. After I got into the top bunk bed, I spotted some brown stain, it looked like blood, although it could be something else. By this stage I was too tired to call her back again to change the sheet so put a blanket over it and slept on top. While I understand sometimes these things happen and would be quite happy if she apologised for the inconvenience it has caused and changed it, I didn't appreciate being questioned and implied that we were being ridiculous for wanting sheets that looked clean. Although we have stayed at Red Beach a few times before (camping mainly) and have always had pleasant experience, I would be reluctant to stay at kitchen cabin again.
