Great experience to stay. The house is clean with lots of plants. It has a nice garden outside that’s very relaxing. Brian and his daughter Jillian are very nice, friendly, and accommodating.. We have stayed there for 6 days and we have enjoyed our stay..
This was a bit of a last minute booking on our last travel day near Auckland (coming from Piha). The photos are a bit misleading. Our room was essentially in the basement (ground level) with a very small garden that faced the driveway. It was littered with trash, but that may have blown in from the rain. It was generally dank down there. The decor was outdated and bathroom quite musty. The bedding was even subpar- there were thick fleece pillowcases on the pillows for summer weather. Breakfast was 2 bananas, a piece of bread, a croissant and granola with no yogurt. Instant coffee. Overall, the owners seemed nice but I think a 4 star rating is misleading.
It was an awesome place to stay, but parking was an issue, and bathrooms needed an upgrade. No extra towels. Great place for a work getaway. Breakfast included
The owner was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the studio which has an ensuite bathroom. The studio has a fridge and stove with lots of other kitchen essentials. We would definitely recommend this Studio.
Hosts were very nice and friendly and while our bedroom was large and comfortable it could have done with a better clean. A lot of long dark hair all around the floor! Also parking a bit of a problem when more than 2 cars there.
If you need accommodation whilst in Auckland give this place a go, you won't be disappointed, The Hosts are lovely and very happy to help you. And their complimentary breakfast is very generous. With 24hr tea and coffee available. They have TV in every room and dressing gowns available also. Love this place ❤️ absolutely would stay here again.
Definitely would go back! Such a lovely couple and they accommodated us at such short notice as we had an emergency trip to Auckland. The house was so well set up as a B&B with bar and lounge area for guests, and the bed was very comfortable and bedrooms very spacious. We had the entire top floor to ourselves. Brian and Margaret are very friendly and we particularly loved the waffles for breakfast. Thank you for making our stay in Auckland so lovely! 10/10
The hosts, Bryan and Margaret were wonderful...! They would go the extra mile to accommodate their guests wants and needs. The facility and the rooms were very clean, and the beds were of good quality and very comfortable. Breakfast was always a pleasant experience with good food and conversations with the other guests that might last a couple hours. A very personable experience. The only down-side was the distance from the airport. Cab fee is spendy, but with a call, Miss Margaret may be able to make less expensive transportation arrangements.
