“This review is a long time coming; in 2017 my wife and I traveled to New Zealand for the BI Lions Tour. She wanted something special to take home from the trip, and I’ve been married long enough to know that’s her code for jewelry. The concierge at our hotel suggested that we go to Palmerston and gave us a short list of jewelers to choose from. We chose Sutclift and we could not have been happier! We weren’t quite sure what we wanted but knew it had to be something that said New Zealand. My wife chose to have a white gold silver fern necklace custom made. When we picked it up we were astonished at the detail of the fern! The craftsmanship was exquisite My wife has had countless compliments on the piece and proudly wears it often. Shortly after we picked up the piece we took a helicopter ride with Richie McCaw and he mentioned that Sutclift Jewelers made the wedding rings for he and his wife. So take it from me (and second hand from Sir Richie) Sutclift is the place to go for good jewelry.”

“Excellent customer service! Shoutout to the young, Korean staff member (I'm so sorry I missed your name). It was a busy afternoon and she was attending to 2 groups of customers already when we arrived. We did have to wait for our turn. While she was letting them have a think, she then asked us what we were after. I showed her the photo of the sale ring I was looking for. She immediately knew where to find it. Got my size and done! She asked if I was interested to see any other items, but I just wanted the one. She politely excused herself from the other customers as they were still looking and took me to the counter for payment. She was so calm under pressure, and so patient with ALL of the customers, not leaving anyone out. She made me feel very valued even if I just purchased a sale item. However my mother is gravely ill and Laurence could see I was stressed and she took her time including telling me she was happy to give me a gift card to do this another time.
