“I have ordered food from this place, have never visited. But I love their food. I tried their fish curry last time and it took me back to the backwaters of Kerala. I decided to try some other dishes, ordered Mutton Sukka and boy, I was amazed! If you are craving authentic spicy, flavoursome curries, definitely give this a try.”

“The dosa was absolutely delicious, really tasty and well made. Food quality is excellent and I’d definitely come back for the taste alone. The only downside was the cleanliness, the floor and tables were sticky, which took away from the overall experience. If they improve this, it would be a perfect spot.”

“Olé is amazing! If you are looking for something more interesting than Asian or Italian- this is your place. The tapas portions are generous and delicious. We had the pomegranate and home made lemonade drinks and they are divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience, the food is prompt and tasty and the service is excellent. We left full and impressed. We’ve been to Spain and the food at olé is authentic and awesome.”

“I ordered the crispy duck via Uber eats, not what I was expecting when it arrived and was battered duck. But wow it was so good and the sauce that came with it amazing. Considering that Uber was having issues getting a delivery driver the food arrived piping hot and juicy. Will be going to get a meal in restaurant sometime soon”

“A great restaurant serving delicious food located steps from the Ibis hotel where I was staying. The Mussels were some of the best and the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very nice as it seems to be an old bank building. Prices were reasonable. It was however very noisy.”

“A hidden gem in Churton Park! I stopped in at Simmer Café and was seriously impressed. I had a mocha and a cheese scone, and both were outstanding. The mocha was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, not too bitter. The cheese scone was fresh, warm, and full of flavour — one of the best I’ve had in Wellington. The staff were welcoming and the café had a great local atmosphere — clean, relaxed, and clearly a favourite with regulars. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!”

Thank you Rory, Karen, bar staff and kitchen for making our evening run so smooth with great service and food was delicious - the Lamb Shanks were a hit! Great customer service our family felt so welcomed and special. We got to enjoy a fun evening just catching up while flow of meals, addtional requests and drinks were served in perfect timing and accommodating our kids meals was wonderful. Thanks again Justin and Speight's team for accommodating our group and organising a set menu. We had a great time, will be back again.”
