I just met a couple of friends for coffee. The food looked absolutely delicious, fresh and modern. We sat for ages over 1 cup of coffee, and although they were busy, they never rushed us. One friend had her young baby in a pushchair, and it was no problem.
It’s hard to put in to words how beautifully delicious the food is. We got 3 meals, French toast with bacon which was perfect, just the right amount of sweet n savoury with the crispy bacon and the blueberry French toast. The chicken avocado burger firstly this burger was huge and the chicken was cooked perfectly, I would recommend this if you a burger person because I was blown away. And lastly the chicken panini with a side of fries and chocolate cake to share. Simmer cafe is known from their smoothies and I was not disappointed they are so fresh and delicious, unfortunately they ran out of strawberries for one of the smoothie but it was still so tasty. I will definitely come back to eat here the service was amazing with lovely faces and great attitudes. Thank you Simmer!!
A hidden gem in Churton Park! I stopped in at Simmer Café and was seriously impressed. I had a mocha and a cheese scone, and both were outstanding. The mocha was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, not too bitter. The cheese scone was fresh, warm, and full of flavour — one of the best I’ve had in Wellington. The staff were welcoming and the café had a great local atmosphere — clean, relaxed, and clearly a favourite with regulars. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!
We had a lovely lunch last Saturday here. Very busy around brunch time. It was almost full when we arrived at 12:20pm last Saturday. We ordered a Beef cheek pappardelle, Crispy-chicken burger and a Thai chicken filo with roast vegetable salad. We all enjoyed our meal. Their coffees were also great. Lovely café and cozy atmosphere. Staff were friendly. We will be happy to go back there.
We had breakfast today at Simmer Cafe. The best hot chocolate I ever had. Pulled pork burger, chicken panini and eggs Benedict smoked salmon are all delicious. The ambiance is very relaxing, a nice place to catch up and have a chat with friends. It’s great to have a cafe in the suburb so you don’t have to worry about parking. The food quality here is better than in the CBD anyway. The service is outstanding, it really shows that they love what they’re doing. It’s only my 3rd time here but will be back for sure.
Not so great for the price of coffee. Ordered two flat white one with sugar and another without sugar. They brought two cups and told us they don't know which one is with sugar, you have to try!!! Only after we showed grumpy face they offered to make another one. Table was not cleaned. Now I am not sure what they did to the coffee they took back, did they try in kitchen and brought it back?? Will not go back again!
The muffin was probably the worst I've tried, and coffee & hot chocolate tasted like hot milk. Otherwise good place. Reply.... no worries, it seemed like it was quite an old one. Maybe I had the odd one out.
We went to Wellington to buy a car. The cafe was recommended by the seller. Awesome coffee and Bacon & Eggs. Highly recommend. AAA+++
☕️ Flat White - the milk foam is exquisite and thick, which meet my expectations ☕️ Iced Coffee - it is kinda plain and the topping whipped cream is yummy but too rich. I couldn’t finish the whole glass but it worth the price. ☕️ Service - the staff is super sweet and friendly; the service is prompt and good. Overall you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
