“Have been able to try many of the dinner options. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The venison and lamb have been cooked perfectly, tender and succulent. Fresh gourmet veges, jus and sauces. Highly recommend any of the dishes. The duck was also amazing.”

“Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet whilst staying at the James Cook hotel- we are a family of 7 so that helped us save a lot. Staff are great and welcoming. They have the best pancakes freshly made to order. We did have dinner one night where kids got to eat free with every paying adult but I found $65 to be quite excessive for the quality of food. Service was still great though:-)”

“We often stay at the nova tel when in Wellington so we do dinner at the caucus restaurant Only a small menu but seasonal and changes offer Tonight was breads and dip, scotch fillet with a side of short rib The scotch was ever so slightly over done for me but still good and the short rib was amazing melt in your mouth We got the sides of pumpkin , carrots and chips And finished it off with the pistachio cake Good food and good service from Noee and Mereana”

“It was an excellent culinary experience. The owner was extremely welcoming. The Indian food as well as the lamb was amazing. I highly recommend stopping by. The menu was very diverse, so, if you have a group that has difficulty finding a restaurant, this may be the place for you. The interior was nice and kept clean.”

“Have booked a table using first table. The table itself was on a smaller side but with a nice view to the street. Very attentive staff and beautiful atmosphere and nice art Delicious meals! Got lovely tuna and oyster mushrooms for starters and steak and cauliflower as main dishes (accomodating vegan options)!”

“Hardware bar is the jewel in the crown for Stokes Valley dining. Its very warm, inviting, with staff that go above and beyond on service. Plus you can bring your fur baby here too!. The food is delicious with generous portion size. The Ribs are the best in Wellington. Will return again, and bring many more vistors”

“We had our wedding reception here and it was AMAZING! The functions manager, Chyanne has been amazing during the early planning, to figuring out the last minute details. They been very accommodating for guests who had dietary/allergies, and the staff that night were fantastic for making sure our reception was amazing! “Went to Lulu’s for the first time for our 5 year anniversary and it was nothing short of phenomenal! The drinks were fantastic and the food was presented amazingly , absolutely delish and full of many different flavours that all paired together so well. Safe to say we will absolutely be back! Fantastic value as well, we were surprised with our final bill and would recommend Lulu’s for a perfect date night or group get together!”

The hotel's fantastic location made exploring the city a breeze. ​From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful atmosphere and the genuinely friendly, professional staff—especially Ray and Anthony, who were absolutely amazing. ​The food was just as impressive. The weekend high tea was an exceptional experience, with every tea and accompanying food item delicious and the service impeccable. ​Breakfast was a definite highlight. While the buffet was decent, the à la carte menu was sleek and memorable—I'm still dreaming about the egg benedict and the delicious mushroom dish. ​Dinner was just as stunning, thanks to a fantastic salmon dish and the breathtaking night waterfront view. As a seafood lover who usually avoids raw oysters, I was amazed by the one I stole from my friend—it was incredibly fresh, and the vinaigrette was a perfect touch. ​And the experience didn't stop there. The room was spacious and tidy, and I absolutely loved the bathtub. ​I was also pleasantly surprised by the value. Despite ordering a lot to try everything, I didn't find the prices horribly expensive. If you get the chance to visit Wellington, I highly recommend a stay at the QT to enjoy the amazing food, service, scenery, and the comfortable rooms.”

“The food was great and the service was fast...prices were reasonable, we got 12 dishes and came to 240. I'd say that's cheap!!! The only down fall the seating was so crowded there were 13 of us on a round table we couldn't even fit. They need to sort their space out”

“A bonus that this restaurant is part of the hotel we’re staying in. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, absolutely delicious food. Steak and chips, cook exactly how we asked, accompanied by truffle butter. Chicken Tikka, with a trip of dips, accompanied by garlic naan, and rice. Not too spicy (perfect for those who don’t like spice) my favourite dip was the tzatziki style. Kids meals come with a drink and dessert. Mac and cheese, perfect size for for kids, my son enjoyed it but I through it was too cheesy. Ice cream sundae was very cute, 1 single scoop with marshmallows, sprinkles and wafers. “This is the best Chinese restaurant we have ever been too. The waiter was lovely and helped us choose some foods that we were undecided about. Very good prices on the meals and just the food quality is amazing. We got the crab and prawns in a chilli sauce and it was some of the best seafood we’ve ever had. We ended up going twice on our 4 day trip because of how good it is”

“Great location, the were able to accommodate all 30 of us, and the space worked really well for 13 kids in our group! Everyone enjoyed the food, my wife and I went for the schnitzel which was a decent size, and came paired with really nice coleslaw salad an sauce. I had the chance my son's fried chicken which was delicious! there was a lot going on for a Sunday, as they had salsa dancing and the music was LOUD! we didn't mind, but some in our group made a comment as they couldn't hear each other. I'd say it's a great place with very nice atmosphere, and they have great food and fantastic service, will definitely come again.”
