Perfect aro chips, crumb fish, batter fish, mussels, pineapple fritter, etc. on Sat arvo. Oldskool kiwi milkshakes in a giraffe cup.

It was okay for an easy meal option. The staff were nice and friendly. I had battered fish & 1/2 chips. Taste was fine. Also, they have other Chinese cuisines to alternate FishNChips menu.

The food was very very good, however the one vegan in the group had to have chips and salad, as there were no decent vegan options. That is, omitting the cheese from various offerings, rendering them unpalatable, is not a decent option. As fellow diners, it's quite uncomfortable to see the vegan get treated inhospitably, yet again.

IG: 2Fish1Chip Sunday is here and an ABs win demands some fish & chips for dinner. Thought a trip in to town would be good and headed to see the folk at Te Aro Fish Supplies. Order: Fish & Chips and a Corn Fritter. Cost: $13 Not overly impressed at all with goods from here. The Warehou battered fillet was noticeably rubbery to the chew which was a let down. The crunch of the golden batter and the low oily yield was great, but the fillet was a let down. The Fritter was another disappointment where they appear to have tried to be a bit cute with a crumbed coating. The coating cooked at a significantly quicker pace as it smelt burnt. The batter as it was very dense and unseasoned as it was tasteless. The hand cut chips I thought were going to be the saviour of this catastrophe of a meal, but they weren’t. They were dry and the texture was jus off. How the heck can a potato not taste like potato?? It’s a well rated shop but today the goods were not worthy of that rating. The fillet was a good size and the portion value was also decent, but that’s all. The only thing I could think of was that maybe the oil hadn’t been changed in a while and therefore spoiled the meal.

Just wholesome fish and chips. Not too greasy, crunchy chips and tasty batter. A firm favourite. Thanks team.

Chur solid takeaways. The veg burgers are such good value and their fish is always cooked perf :) pro-tip: get a potato frit and whack it in the veg burg / any burg for an especially mean feed

A very nice place. The family has been coming here for a very long time. The chips are wide & the service is fantastic. The prices are very good & affordable. The wall next to the drinks fridge has very interesting historical photos. A real Wellington Classic Establishment. Thanks Charles, CJs Junk Removal Service, Wellington.
