We had an early dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant looks very unwelcoming from the outside and empty inside but we were hungry after a long flight to NZ and felt like a nice Indian curry. When we asked the waitress if they were open she said yes without bothering to look up. We sat at a table near the front and eventually we were offered a menu. We immediately ordered drinks thankfully because they took about 20 minutes to arrive. We ordered when the drinks arrived, and the food arrived another 20 minutes or so later. The chicken palak was bland and not memorable. The vegetable curry was practically inedible- tiny pieces of carrot and potato hidden amongst layers of onion. Very memorable but for the wrong reasons. I do not recommend this restaurant!

Kera-La-Carte was amazing. We came right before closing and they were still so warm and accommodating. The fish was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the daal was outstanding. One of the best South Indian meals I’ve experienced. The chef is brilliant and the servers were wonderful. Highly recommended.

Amazing dosas and great value for money. We were visiting Wellington and this was a great surprise find. The masala dosa and paneer dosa were both delicious and we also had the chicken 65 which was great. Highly recommend this place and envious of locals who have access regularly to this restaurant!

The dosa was absolutely delicious, really tasty and well made. Food quality is excellent and I’d definitely come back for the taste alone. The only downside was the cleanliness, the floor and tables were sticky, which took away from the overall experience. If they improve this, it would be a perfect spot.

This is another restaurant that my wife and I tried when we visited Wellington. It seemed to have pretty good reviews, and we can now agree that it is definitely worth a visit. Genuinely authentic south indian food. We tried a few dishes over 2 visits. Chicken biryani was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Chicken 65 was not as crispy as we expected, but very soft and juicy pieces with brilliant flavour from the marinade. We tried the kerala parota on the second visit and it was amazing, paired with kuttanadan pepper chicken (very rich with good pepper hit). One of the best dishes we had was the Kerala prawn fry (must try!). Also had the neychoru (was alright) and the omelette (yummy). Restaurant was clean, but lighting is a bit dim. Staff were friendly as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic and good south Indian food in Wellington. Keep up the good work.

You should definitely try their masala dosa – it's not only generously sized but also captures the authentic flavors of India. All the dishes are prepared freshly and truly offer a delightful culinary experience. Don't miss out on the opportunity to savor one of the finest dosas!

Blink and you’ll miss it. This is my favourite restaurant in Wellington. We’re talking incredibly fragrant, mouth watering, and lovely authentic South Indian cuisine. The service is impeccable, and if you’re open minded, let them order for you. I feel appreciated coming into this establishment and valued. Every meal tastes like they’re made with a lot of love and care. I leave feeling well fed, taken care of, and inspired. We loved this place so much, we went back three days in a row and not a single disappointment was had.

Its the best Kerala Restaurant with lots of south india food options. It has a good ambience too. The famous kerala Kizhi Patota and Kerala Beef Biryani is very tasty and a must try. You also have palappam and Vegetable stew. You also get other South Indian specials like huge Mysore Masala Dosa, kothu Parota, Chicken Stew, keema dosa, kappa biryani and others. They also serve drinks, sea food, dessert and south indian meals.
