   This is a fish and chip shop that’s been part of many people’s lives. I first tried it about six years ago when I arrived in Wellington—my homestay mom used to get it for me every Friday night. I recently visited again and found out there’s a new owner, who used to be a professional chef. So I tried the egg foo young instead of fish and chips—so good! Some of the Chinese-style dishes here are amazing. You’ve got to try them! (Check out my video!)

   IG: 2Fish1Chip Order: Fish, chips, corn fritter and hotdog Cost: $20 Fish kicked off with that sweet sounding crunch of that golden batter. Unfortunately that was the only good bit as the thin fillet was flat on taste and freshness. Chips were okay I guess. Similar to dipping a super wine in your cuppa tea for too long, the chips were soggy to the bite and felt like they melted in your mouth. Portion size was good. The corn fritter tasted like waffle batter with a sweetness to it. I’ve seen crackers thicker than what I was presented with. The enthusiastically cooked fritter was deceiving as it the crunch was okay. Possibly countered by the thinness. Overall, no value for money on this occasion as the quality was sub par.

   I would say this is the best fish n chip shop i have been to for a while. When I visit Wellington, this is a place I must visit and order from the wide range menu, and always know it will taste wonderful. Staff are always friendly when I have visited and are always polite as well. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and suggest it as a place you must visit for some delicious food whatever you may order. I have to add this little note too there burgers are very nice and filling.

   It’s by far the best fish&chips shop I found in Wellington! They have good quality of food, also prices are reasonable, the service I got was amazing! Friendly shipowners. Will definitely come back sometime in the future! Strongly recommend it!

   Best nasi goreng, goes down a treat with a nice cold beer.Chicken is crispy! Their fish meals also are on point! All in all their food is delish! Even their burgers are satisfying.Been going there for the last 26 years. It is now 2023 and when you order a pork fried rice you can count the pork pieces 6 in total 6 little pieces I'm not vegetarian ! And the nasi goreng now ,Goodluck in finding chicken! I'm out!

   Good burgers not as good as the Souvlaki place up the line. Good communication. And excellent service. Even though they get really busy they always help you out with a good deal. Local's and Outta Town Folk. Keep it up Y'all. Peace Guy.
