“As a student sushi is the perfect thing between classes. Its cheapish, it's good, and I don't have to wait for it to cook. The best part is that past 4-5 the prices go down, which is perfect when you have late classes”

“Amazing!!! Best butter chicken in New Zealand and most flavourful vindaloo! However if you are looking for something really spicy and eat a lot of spice the hottest option may not be too hot! We loved that rice is in the cost of the dish and didn’t order seperate. Really busy so recommend booking ahead! Amazing for group events or families as wide range of options but not too many you can’t choose. Choice of spice levels allows you to adjust to how you like! Overall will be back it’s amazing!”

“Love this place. Quick and accessible Indian food that is delicious, in a setting that makes you feel like you’re eating chaat in India. Usually plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. I highly recommend the Chole Bhatura and the Samosas.”

“A gem in Miramar. They have some dishes that you can't find in other Thai restaurant, such as the chicken wing stuffed with minced pork and vermicelli (wow), and sum tum salad, which has sliced deep fried chicken/beef and lettuce aside (wow). Though their Tom Yum soup is very average. So I guess it depends what you order. And the bar is really good, the Lemon, lime & bitters only costs $3.”

Friendly, polite staff; reasonable prices; and the food was an ~8.5/10 (for me). Meat was very tender and flavours full, level of spice and salting just right. Restaurant space appears simple but quite cute, would happily eat in. Cheers”

“I had a wonderful experience at the Indian Sweets and Snacks shop in Newtown. The food is absolutely delicious, and the sweets are beautifully decorated and always fresh. The customer service is excellent – the staff are friendly and genuinely care about their customers. On one occasion, I accidentally forgot my wallet at the shop. Later that evening, I called them and was relieved to find out they had kept it safe for me. When I went back with my daughter to collect it, the staff were so kind and even offered sweets to her. That thoughtful gesture really touched me.”

“I recently dined at Nando's Courtenay Place in Wellington, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The whole chicken I ordered was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The accompanying french fries were crispy and seasoned just right. One of the standout features of Nando's was their impressive variety of sauces. Each one brought a unique and delicious flavor profile to the meal. It was a treat to experiment and find the perfect combination to complement my dish. “Our sever was amazing, very polite young gentleman. The food was delicious, served hot fresh and very quickly. Couldn't fault anything at all. Highly recommend for a family dinner. Kids loved the both the green tea and apple tea. If you have never had apple tea, strongly suggest you give it a go :) Next time we are in Tawa we definitely will be back.”

“Well well well … what an awesome surprise. Acting out our daughter’s recommendation, we decided to try a well place Wellington shoreline cafe! Opting for just a light Saturday lunch, our party of four were welcome by extremely friendly and pleasant staff. We decided to take up dinning seating on their lower enclosed side deck, that rests inches off the lapping waters, providing a tranquil and delightful near eye level view of the bay. Establishment staff are courteous and informed, certainly in our opinion. For out light lunch, the fish and chips (with a glass of wine) for $30 was well plated, and undoubtably a larger portion than what we were expecting. Whether the plated portion of two (non-oily) decent sized pieces of deliciously-flakey, catch of the day and a proper crispy-crispy serving of fries or their spicy chicken burgers and accompanying fries and milkshakes … our plates were clean by all, not a crumb, not a morsel left-over or wasted!! We will be back, come summer to enjoy the outdoor dinning! Well done crew!! Truly a great find!”

“This was a lovely place to stay even though it is quite old. Bed was beautiful and staff were lovely. We didn't eat there but the location is good for other restaurants and places of interest. Would definitely stay again.”

“We arrived unknowingly before opening time. The owner saw us and opened up for us and gave a great run down on the great variety of sushi they sell. The two in our group who are sushi fans were really impressed and loved the sushi. Definitely great sushi at a very reasonable price. You've got to try it.”
