Good little nostalgic gem. My photo is still in there from when i was 12. Chips are always on point! Good to see this place still here after being over seas for 14 years.

Good small local fish and chip shop which is good when the fish and chip shop down the road is always busy on Friday nights this one is good price, fast and yum food! Not much room in the shop to wait around unfortunately but other than that, itβs great.

Our favourite fish and chip shop in Island bay was closed on the 27th of December. Chopsticks was open so we ordered their $23 special and a couple of burgers. We didnβt want to go hard with ordering as we werenβt too sure on the quality of the food. The fish was amazing just like our favourite place and plenty of chips for two. The steak burger had steak in it. Not steak with a beef pattie. An all steak burger. My partner had a fish burger and enjoyed it. Will definitely go back and recommend.

Horrible Asian Food. We ordered Honey Chicken, Egg Foo Yong and Chicken Pad Thai for a total of $57.00 The Honey Chicken was just a slice of chicken schnitzel with a drizzle of a βhoney sauce.β Chicken Pad Thai was just instant noodles with an overload of vegetables and 5 pieces of chicken/beef cooked in soy sauce. Tasted nothing like a Pad Thai. And lastly the Egg Foo Yong (my usual favourite meal) an over cooked tasteless omelette. These guys shouldnβt be advertising food they canβt cook. Stick to deep frying fish and chips.

Food was inedible. Sweet and sour pork was not Sweet and sour pork. I was just heavily batterd slithers of pork with a container of pink watered down vinegar. It tasted terrible and couldn't wash the taste out of my mouth. The noodles where far to pepper, to the point that you you couldn't have more that 1 bite. They came with bearly any protein. 5 small coin sized peices of chicken max. Huge disappointment for a birthday dinner treat. Definitely not a place to go for anything other than fish and chips Edit : also they didn't give container lids. It was a bit odd. Food leaked out of the paper bag they gave us out food in.

Made an order 2 days ago, spent over $100, and got poor quality food. Burnt orange beef, sweet and sour pork tasted like deep fried batter and the fries tasted real bad. Wouldn't recommend

Very friendly service and my favorite takeaway in Wellington! I'm vegetarian and there are several very good vegetarian options, my favorite are the Ho Fan with vegetables.. delicious!! Portions are really large for a good price! I really love the pictures on the walls, that's really unique and artistic!! Island bay won't be the same without chopstick Takeaways!! You are the best!!
