ORDERED A BURGER CALLED A CHEESY CHICKEN. Why have I been given HALF A SLICE of cheese in my burger. For something that has CHEESY in the name I would expect a full slice. Disappointed and ashamed to call this my local maccas. Do better.
Compliments to the island lady that’s always on the mic at the drive thru. She was on today at 9pm and ALWAYS Provides the loveliest service. Not once have I seen her without a big smile and I’m here a lot. Love and blessings to her ❤️❤️❤️
I ordered a Big Mac around 1pm today, and unfortunately, part of the burger had a strong chemical taste and smell that reminded me of the grill cleaning solution that’s used during cleaning. As a former Macca’s employee, I immediately recognised the smell. It seems likely that either the grill wasn’t properly rinsed after cleaning, or a cloth used during the cleaning process was still in use during food preparation. Regardless of the cause, it’s a serious concern and has definitely put me off eating at Macca’s again. I’ve still got a nasty chemical taste on my tongue even after 2hrs. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it helps improve food safety and handling procedures moving forward. The cleaning procedures needs to be seriously looked at with management and head office.
Service is a bit poor, there are some girls in the counter .. who threw 3 orders .. 1 milkshake, 1 Mcflurry and one custrad pie .. which I had to place it in a cup holder to carry.. I would have expected her to stay and check .. just the attitude on her face .. says she didn't want to serve.
I’d like to take a moment to commend Veronica, the cleaner at Porirua McDonald’s, for her outstanding work. Her attention to detail and dedication to keeping the dining area clean, tidy, and well-organized truly stood out. Thanks to her efforts, the entire space felt welcoming and well-maintained, which made my dining experience all the more enjoyable. It’s clear that Veronica takes pride in her work – the cleanliness was consistent, and everything was in order without being intrusive. Staff like Veronica are a true asset to any business. She plays a crucial role in creating a positive atmosphere for customers and elevates the overall standard of the establishment. Please pass on my sincere thanks and appreciation for her excellent work.
Higher than average quality for McDonald’s. Large free car park and a massive selection of seating inside. They have good music and very nice staff. Very clean as well. Definitely coming here again

As if the Porirua McDonald's set out to prove a point, the food here was better than most, the service excellent and the facilities immaculate. Well done McDonald's Porirua.
Recently, I visited Porirua McDonald's. This was my first experience at this particular McDonald's, and let's just say I will be returning. The customer service from the two girls in drive thru by the names of Minty and Georgia were the loveliest pair. Both their smiles and friendliness made my day. These two kindly went above and beyond with their expertise and extensive knowledge of the Maccas menu. I was concerned with the product quality as previous McDonald's had thrown together my meal. These two assured me that the meal would be to the highest standards and gave me fresh fries. I would highly recommend this McDonald's for anyone who's a little peckish. Including the lovely staff members Keep up the great service Minty and Georgia !!!
They were very busy but they were working together as a team. Everybody got their food quickly. The lady running the cooking area was Brilliant. Keeping them focused and supporting the staff all the time
