“Really tasty fish, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The traditionally hand-cut chip tasted better compared to commercially made ones. Paua fritter is special. Definitely value for money … I paid around £5.50 in the UK for a piece of fish - visiting kiwi living in London! Will call again if I live nearby.”

Located on the other side of the other food court, this place is quick with their service, very polite and really able to bring the native Filipino taste! My fiance being a Filipina herself and picky with her food, she managed to really love it and have a bloody decent craving acquired. For only 30 dollars (very cheap compared to Auckland), this is definitely worth every penny.”

“My partner and I really enjoyed our one night stay at Microtel by Wyndham Wellington. We arrived in Wellington around 8:00 AM and caught an Uber directly to our hotel (20 min drive from airport). Front of staff was extremely lovely and offered to look after our luggage before check-in at 2:00 PM. We booked the Internal Queen Room without Windows. It was perfect size for two people, and still spacious for us to place our belongings. Bed was comfortable - got a good night rest. Service is great, staff are extremely helpful. You can order some food from the menu. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza for nibbles, which costed around $15. The hotel is approximately 20 mins walking distance to Lambton Quay and Queen Wharf. It was simple to navigate around central. Overall, 10/10 experience. Highly suggest to book here.”

“Celebrated my sisters bday here as a first table and the service was 12/10 probably the best we have ever had. Even tho we arrived late and asked to take leftovers, the waiter was super hospitable. The waiter was super kind the food was really good too the club sandwich being a highlight.”

I love that even after all these years, nothing has really changed — the menu, the plates, the atmosphere — it’s all wonderfully consistent and familiar. The staff at the Porirua location were kind and attentive, ensuring we were well looked after. While it can be a little pricey, I find it’s definitely worth it for a meal thats made with care and consistency. When I've visited, the restaurant is always clean, tidy, and usually nice and quiet, which makes for a relaxing dining experience. A classic that continues to deliver comfort food, good service, and that timeless Denny’s feel. Highly recommend the Porirua location!”
