No wonder the place is dark its to hide how gross and unclean it is. The guy was rude. Food average at best. I ordered online turned up at the time it was supposed to be ready. It was sometime later that he started cooking. If i could rate zero stars I would what a horrible experience. Who in their right minds rates this dump 5 stars.
Don’t bother with this place. Ordered online, didn’t get accepted. Phoned up, order was then ignored until I came to collect. Was told 20 mins, then he didn’t start making until I was in the shop for a second time. Naan terrible. Just go to the Green Chilli round the corner.
Incredibly delicious food. I would say the best Indian food in wellington. Good serving sizes and obviously made with care.
Second time getting takeout here - food absolutely fantastic quality both times. Think they can be a little bit slow when busy as it’s a lean operation, just one or two guys doing all the cooking, orders, cleaning etc. don’t know what the criticism I’m another review is about re for 20 bucks getting one container with rice and flavour ingredients / we get for less than 20 bucks per meal 2 plastic containers, one with the rice and one full of the curry - meat and vegetables (where relevant). Great tasting well cooked food.
Arguably the best Indian Takeaways in Wellington (and I’ve tried plenty of places)! The guy can come across slightly abrupt, but once you get to know him he is very friendly and means well. I would highly recommend!
Totally average. For twenty dollars, you will get a plastic box that's mostly rice with some flavoring ingredients worth about $2.50 max. Delhi Sweets and Snacks Miramar has a GREAT selection of items at lower prices. Green Chilli Indian restaurant around the corner at Moxham Ave, Hataitai is generally good also.
The food is absolutely incredible. Probably one of the best in welly. Always friendly. I call in my order and it's usually ready on time. He's usually running the whole place himself so be kind!
I was yelled at twice, once while ordering and again when I arrived. Was tempted to cancel my order but gave him the benefit of the doubt. Got my ’chicken korma’, after waiting half an hour (note, nobody else came in for food, so not sure why it took that long) and my korma tasted like butter chicken. Nice, but not what I ordered. No plans to return.
