“Great place for a drink on a sunny afternoon in Wellington. Friendly staff, good ambiance, good music. Choose up or downstairs they even have a balcony. Makes you feel a bit like being in London with a touch of sunshine and clean air.”

“This is a fantastic spot for brunch and coffee. It’s a busy cafe so it might pay to book ahead, however we turned up and had to wait 15 minutes for a table for 2. Once we were seated the service was fantastic. I was eager to try the espresso tasting flight and loved it, a staff member explained the origins of the coffee which was great. The food was fantastic, it came out quick and the quality was exceptional! We are definitely going to come back again.”

“Sandwiches are good amd delicious! Always crowded, sometimes can't hear what my friends says, but it was okay because food and coffee here are the BEST. Come in the morning or late afternoon on spring or autumn. Magical.”

“A superb park, well laid out with great planning. The planting attracts birds of all types including the rowdy Tui. Great water features. Plenty of spacious parking and electric car charging posts. Toilets suffer from vandals but usable”

“Visiting the city and found an excellent spot for exceptional coffee. On a sunny day, the best place to enjoy it is the outdoor terrace upstairs - quieter, more spacious, and refreshingly open, perfect for a leisurely breakfast and long conversations. The service is warm, welcoming, almost joyous, with staff who appear genuinely enthusiastic, accommodating, and efficient. Though the space is compact, the atmosphere is full of heart. “For Burgerfuel to have such stiff competitors just outside cheaper must make them seethe. First time for me for Lucky and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Make sure you get the chips with gravy as the add on. The burger I chose was the single chicken burger. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Not too much sauce either as others mentioned. All in all I’d certainly eat there again.”

“Our stay at Sofitel Wellington was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were full of local knowledge and pointed us toward some fantastic nearby attractions, which really enhanced our visit. The location was perfect — close to plenty of activities and great places to explore, all within easy walking distance. We also thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel; the food was outstanding and truly one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, we had such a memorable experience at Sofitel Wellington. Thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality and exceptional service — we can’t wait to return!”

“Havana Bar was recommended to us on a Wellington review page. Everything was really excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. The music and the lights were appropriate for our conversation. The food and drinks were delicious and at a fair price. We highlight the ceviche, you must try it! We will definitely come back to enjoy the night of live music.”

“This place never fails to impress and satisfy me! Well worth the 20-30 min drive it takes to get there from Porirua. This has the best Fish n Chips I have ever had, which has the best cheeseburger I have ever had. Love how fresh the fish and seafood is. So succulent! I have introduced this place to so many friends and family. This has now become a family fave. Service here is super quick and super friendly! It is located across from the beach, quirky bars, restaurants, and cafes. Parking may be a wee bit hard during peak but we managed to find parking at Bunnings across from there. This place is a must for Oka/Raw fish lovers and a must eat for everyone!”

“One of our “go to” curry shops. Always good. Always tasty and almost always full. The family that run the place welcome you with a smile and wholesome food. I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place already. Must have been too busy eating. The goat curry is a standard (shown) and everything else is good. Don’t hesitate outside. Open the door and go for it. You won’t be disappointed. All at a reasonable price. (They do Deliver Easy)”

Great customer service☺️ The Honey chicken honestly just melts in your mouth the rice is fresh and just a high quality takeaway dish very sweet and just perfect couldn’t find any faults. 1/4 chicken and chips and hotdog and potato fritters I would really recommend cooked to perfection oil was clean and fresh deep fried food outstanding portions Areas of improvement - Menu is quite confusing the design needs a reflect the quality and the price your paying for. - shop advertising is outdated. - prices are average now but as long as the quality and quantity stays the same it’s okay. Overall the negatives do not out way the positive amazing food great customer service great quality great food.”

With a little range of other beers to compliment their own Pale Ale, beer snobs and their friends will all be satisfied.
