“Nice place to go for a walk. Go during sunny days. Long walk to reach the dam. So make sure to have water with you. Lovely lake with ducks.”

“Amazing space for friendly dogs to have freedom with no chance of pesky cyclists! Thank you”
“Still the best off leash dog park in Wellington, long bush walks, some flat, some up and down. Multiple entry sites, Kaiwharawhara, Crofton Downs, Wilton. Be aware that there are Karaka berries.”
“A large and very scenic park. Great for picnics, a run, dog walkings and walking in the bus”
“Always taken care of and manicured.”

“Best park in upperhutt. Lots of fun with kids and family. Picnic ground ,barbecue and playground everything in one place.”
“Great area in front of the beach especially when summer time! There are football area, bbq area (but the bbq grill didn’t work when we are there), toilet area behind the cafe (not too clean but still useable), cafe is nice with various choices of food, ice cream and milkshake. There is small pond with lot of ducks, don’t feed them bread please. We saw tracking area, maybe someday will back to try the track.”
“This place is one of the incredible places in Wellington. Most likely this is part of the waterfront. If you visit the Wellington waterfront harbor, you will find this beautiful park and kids playground. Totally free of charge. Kids can experience adventure and fun at the same time. Highly recommended place.”
“Not bad, Ramps are a bit steep but big half pipe is well. Very slippery rails”
“Excellent park for children to enjoy while adults can relax on the beach”
“A Wellington CBD classic. Come see the bureaucrats eat lunch. Watch the shoppers rest. Marvel at the afternoon drinkers. Join the lunchtime crowd. Peak at the workers scuttling into the tower. You know you want.”
“Great shop and service! My favourite local store!”
“Nice trail with beautiful scenes”
“Wood turf + ground + play center for kids. Great outdoor playtime.”
“The old dam outlet pipe runs through this tunnel. About a 18 minute walk up from Johnsonville park, the tunnel is located just to the left of the track before you reach the ridge. The tunnel length is approximately 30m till you reach the brick up end of the tunnel. You will need a torch or phone light.”
“Very nice at Wahine Memorial Park and also good views at the Park.”
“This was a beautiful venue for my grandson's soccer game. I love that there is a public toilet right there as well.”
“Beautiful park, very popular and seems to be a camping hot spot.”

“Awesome dairy. The owner is very helpful and they have a variety of useful items as well as the usual milk, bread etc. The staff are really friendly as well.”
“A perfect spot to view the east coast of Wellington. Not far away from the car park you can see an arch hole on your left; when you are looking far towards the sea you may see Baring Head Lighthouse. It’s a Lighthouse located in back country.”
“A beautiful park with a lot of long trails, mountains, forests, waterfalls etc. Bring enough time and water, you can't buy anything there, I also haven't seen a toilet or something. I was there when it was very cloudy, so I couldn't take very nice pictures of the landscape. Make sure the weather is good tho.”
“Cute wee park , love the kids playground and the garden for the blind has nice booth seating for lunch or a quiet and discreet meeting. Beautiful sweet smelling flowers and water feature and on the other side you can sit and watch cars on the motorway”
“Looking for LOTR locations?, this is your place”
