   This is a fantastic spot for brunch and coffee. It’s a busy cafe so it might pay to book ahead, however we turned up and had to wait 15 minutes for a table for 2. Once we were seated the service was fantastic. I was eager to try the espresso tasting flight and loved it, a staff member explained the origins of the coffee which was great. The food was fantastic, it came out quick and the quality was exceptional! We are definitely going to come back again.

   Been here three times so far and always a great place to eat. Their lamb benedict is one of the best or the best Ive ever had. Their coffee is always great and the smoothies are too. Food is filling and always good quality. Best cafe in Wellington.

   Great food and service! Was greeted warmly upon entering the cozy cafe. Love the coffee and the avocado toast was really fantastic. Generous avocado serving topped with a wonderful mix of flavours! The Brekky Burrito was really yummy too. Just one minor note that the Chai latte was too sweet for my liking, couldn’t finish it.

   Incredible food, excellent coffee, lovely service. Stumbled upon this spot as the cafe recommended to us was over crowded. Glad it was! This is a gem of a find. My family were just breezing through Wellington on a holiday and had a 10/10 brekkie here. 100% will return on our next travels to NZ. I believe they make their waffles from scratch!? They’re just amazing! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with well balanced fruit and hand whipped cream. Great mouth feel with this dish! But the star is the smashed avo, has absolutely no business being that incredible. It’s just LOADED with all the right complementary accouterments that I can safely safe, hands down, best smashed avo I’ve ever had! Impeccable! Coffees were perfect (latte and cappuccino) and the food was served very quickly!

   This cafe is absolutely incredible. I ordered the avocado toast with hash and subbed the poached eggs for scrambled eggs and ordered a chai latte. Both items were 10/10! I can see why they won awards for best avocado toast in New Zealand. It was quite literally the best I ever had that we had to return the next morning for the same order. Our waitress was so kind and attentive, even remembering exact order the following day. I highly recommend having breakfast or brunch here if you’re in Wellington.

   Great atmosphere at this coffee shop. My wife and I split the flight of coffee (espresso, flat white, and cold drip) and all of them were very robust. They use they panama geisha coffee bean which has tons of flavor. We got the bacon butty (fried egg and bacon on brioche bun with jam on the side) and we both enjoyed it very much. All around great experience with friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Would definitely come back and recommend coming here to try some of their delicious food and coffee!

   A friend recommended coming here and this cafe was even better than expected. The service was prompt and very friendly. The coffee was outstanding - we ordered the tasting platter and flat whites. Food came out quickly and was very tasty (breakfast burritos and bacon butties). Overall fantastic and will be coming again when back in Wellington!

   Came here on Easter morning while we were visiting Wellington. It was packed and there was a line out the door but it was worth the wait. Our crew sought this place out in search of their iconic filter coffee flights and they did not disappoint!! We loved how they also included an informational card with each cup to learn about the type, tasting notes, etc…The food was also delicious. We got the pork belly Benedict and mushrooms on toast. Highly recommend The Hanger!
