   Both people behind the bar gave us excellent and attentive service, especially Grant from London, who was really kind. We tried 13 beers and all of them were great examples of their type and really delicious. Some of us ordered food from Gorilla and some got Soul Food. We walked away with 12 takeaway cans from the fridge after a great evening. I can't recommend Fortune Favours enough, it has it all.

   Stopped here for lunch and some beers while wandering around Wellington. They have a great rooftop patio. Service was quick and we were able to place a food order for burgers and sandwiches. They have a great variety of drinks, not just beers from the brewery although we tried those and they were wonderful. Nice place to spend a weekday afternoon!

   beautiful venue and yummy tasty beer. FF fits well into the Welly craft beer scene with their unique twist and flavours. you'll love the venue, and if you're not into beer they have plenty of seltzers and cocktails to go around. worth a drop in if you're in Te Aro!

   Huge range of great beers on tap from their own brewery. I came on my own on a Monday night and it was fairly busy. You can order burgers from Gorilla Burgers next door and they bring them over to your table. Big tables for groups and nice upstairs area with outdoor space.

   Just around the corner from my daughter’s ex-workplace (big shout out to Mandatory Menswear!), is one of their favourite watering holes. How fortuitous to be about 50m away from each other! For a working craft brewery, it’s very tidy retail space, even though the brewing tanks are in plain view. The rest of the decor is pretty swish and funky, with great bursts of colour to brighten up the semi-industrial feel. The staff are really friendly, good with advice and tasters of different brews when asked. As a cider lover, I thoroughly enjoyed their Brightsider, and then decide it’d be rude not to have a tasting paddle of their beers. I let the bartender know that I’m not a stout fan, and then let her choose 6 from the rest on offer. The paddle comes with a handy drawing of the beers as arranged, plus their alcohol content, so you know what you’re tasting - good for future orders. Didn’t have time to look at the food menu this trip, so hopefully we can on another visit.

   Great place for a drink on a sunny afternoon in Wellington. Friendly staff, good ambiance, good music. Choose up or downstairs they even have a balcony. Makes you feel a bit like being in London with a touch of sunshine and clean air.
