“My son and his family lives in Christchurch and he's been talking about this Afgan place and would take us there if we're in Christchurch. A must-try spot in Christchurch! There’s no menu—just walk in and let them know how many people are dining or ordering takeaway. They usually open around 5:30 p.m., and there’s always a long line, so give yourself extra time. The food is simple but absolutely delicious—choose chicken, lamb, or a mix, served with tasty rice and curry. It’s great value for money and always consistent. We ordered 3 servings for 5 people, and it was more than enough. Don’t expect a typical restaurant setup. You get your own drinks, plates, and cutlery. If you're dining in, you can skip the takeaway queue—just find a seat and order at the counter. We always get an extra serving to enjoy for lunch the next day. Tip: Join their Facebook group to check if they’re open. Long wait, but totally worth it!”

“Cosy cafe with Akaroa King Salmon sushi and Sashimi available. King Salmon Shop do not have any eating place inside the supermarket. Other Japanese favorite street food available eg unagi , karaage chicken, tempura prawns, curry chicken etc”

“It's was a pleasure to work with Kim and the team. They made the start and finish to my brother's and my motorcycle vacation absolutely wonderful. They represented the country of New Zealand well. Although we have check this activity off the proverbial "Bucket-List", they have made us consider returning to expound on the great experience. The bikes were modern, stylish and high performance with the proper comfort for our ages (61+). If you're plan is to rent motorcycles in New Zealand, then South Pacific Motorcycle Tours is the only sensible path for the highest probability of success (I didn't mention that we are Mechanical Engineers). “Great place for food and drinks!! Misceos has an awesome atmosphere and styling. The food is served fast and is always delivered to a high standard. It is best to make a booking for lunch and for larger groups as this is a popular place. There is also a takeaway pizza service. However it can get a little noisy when full”

“I read the reviews before we went out to dinner, and they weren't wrong. Do not be distracted by the look of the restaurant inside or the ice cream ( which by the way is so good). But this Thai has amazing authentic Thai dishes that taste so good. Fantastic value.”

Reasonable prices and even better of you can get it during one of frequent sales. Well stocked with wide range of items from lower to higher quality and prices, something for everyone’s budget. “I was really really pleased with the quality of the meals and the excellent service at this little side street restaurant on Riccarton Road. We began with bhajee, which was light, soft, and served as an excellent appetiser. The freshness was apparent, and the portion size was generous, comfortably enough for three people. The presentation was appealing and added to the overall positive impression. Next, the lamb seekh kebab was beautifully presented and extremely tender, pulling apart effortlessly. The flavours were enjoyable and the medium spice was perfect for a wee bit of a kick. A highlight of the evening was the lamb vindaloo. The spice was well-absorbed into the lamb, which was firm yet tender. The vibrant colours and earthy flavours made this dish feel hearty and authentic. For a lighter contrast, the chicken saag delivered a smooth and clean flavour. The chicken was wonderfully tender, practically falling apart, and the dish’s subtler colour allowed the flavours to shine without being visually overwhelming. The garlic naan was another success, with a soft, chewy texture that paired perfectly with the mains, serving as an excellent accompaniment to the sauces. The beer was served in particularly excellent mugs, adding a touch of quality to the dining experience. The restaurant itself exudes a comfortable, home-like atmosphere, though the decor could benefit from some enhancement. Service was attentive, with plates promptly cleared after each course. Additionally, the kitchenware, glasses, and silverware were all clean and suited the environment appropriately. Arjee Bhajee offers a solid dining experience, particularly if you enjoy lamb dishes. However, be prepared for some dishes to be priced on the higher side, though it might be fitting for the excellent quality of the dishes. Nevertheless, it is a place worth considering for a relaxed evening with quality food.”

“Valentines Hornby is our favourite place to eat! We go at least once a month and cannot fault it. The food is fantastic - a great variety, very fresh, always beautifully cooked, and nicely presented. They often experiment with new dishes but you can rely on the favourites to always be there. The food is always hot and constantly replenished, and there is a great salad bar too. The dessert is amazing! Such a variety, including a chocolate fountain and ice cream machine. I love all the small portion mousses, meringues, cheesecake, hot dishes and the sides, like berries, cream and sauces. The lemon roulade is so good! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is great too. We cannot praise this place enough - do yourself a favour and check it out! Great value for money too.”

There was a beautiful selection of home decor, & we bought a few items, including a stunning hand knotted rug which was perfect for our home. The Manager couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, as she went the extra mile to give us fantastic service. We are definitely happy to recommend Home&We as a great destination if you are looking for homewares. Wonderful to have a great pre-Christmas sale on at the moment too. “Great range and always friendly staff. For a small store the prices are really good, a lot of the time better than Cluntdoen a few kms away. They als9 usually have stock that others run out of at the same or cheqper price. The wine selections is fantastic too. We always go there for wine regardless of where we shopped that day. Locslly owned by indidvidual franchisees too. This store has its share of theft and other crimes so please support them.”
