   Twice Ive bought Harris farm vaccume packed beef (tbone and short ribs) from these guys that has been properly spoilt. Sealed packs and all. Only opened them to be hit with that rancid smell. Both times the meat had at least 3 days before expiration. After the 2nd time I called up to inform them cause I felt it might be important to check if there is an issue but the guy on the phone didnt seem phased at all he was polite enough and asked me if i got a pack that had the seal broken as if its my fault the meat was spoilt (I feel thike that's the kind of quality control they should be doing) he Offered for me to bring it back and exchange or refund but I live far enough away that the drive there during Christmas traffic is not worth it to bring it all the way back. But seriously once is bad enough but two times now. And it isnt cheap, I expect something much better from a more upper end grocery store, especially when it comes to food safety.

   WOW. This is the setting the standards for grocery stores. It's clean, extremely tidy, it's as if care has gone into every item. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the variety is just insane. Hands down one of the best stores I've been to in the world. You can tell people care here.

   I am (used to be) a regular customer as I live nearby. Went in last week, wearing gym clothes, 10 minutes before closing and a security staff started shouting from far that they were closing. I asked her if there was enough time to grab a box of eggs for breakfast. She did not look happy and followed me around the store to the tilt. I went back today, once again wearing my gym clothes, got my groceries in a basket. Went to the tilt, PAID and then opened my backpack to put groceries in. SAME security staff came around for a “quick bag check” ….. I think she has a problem with people in gym clothes…. Are these not allowed in Merivale? Not going back!

   I just opened the camembert that I bought here 4 hours ago and it's off. The best by date was for 10 days from now but it was pretty revolving. I've also bought moody bread from this store at least 4 times at this point.

   Clean and nice grocery shop that provides a wide variety of items. The prices are pretty much the same as others but they also have imported ones like coffee that are rare to find in new world, countdown or paknsave. Enjoyable shopping experience.
