“This place has a very confident hotel and the room number was four. There were three beds and the shower was comfortable and hot shower was hot and comfy. I know the owner is a little bit strict about the hotel rules, but if you use it nicely he will say nothing so I love this hotel. There is a free wifi there too! I recommend this hotel to everyone!”

“This place is amazing. Loved my three nights here, corner king room was awesome, top floor great view with morning sun. Appreciated the little electric heater given its winter. Bed very comfy, room modern and bathroom/shower decent size. I had breakfast included, the only thing I would change is more variety for breakfast, maybe some hot food like scrambled eggs and bacon. It would be 5/5 with that. I used the complimentary gym at snap fitness, a 2 min walk away. Hotel close to everything including public transport. Really enjoyed my stay, highly recommend.”

“Had to go to Christchurch a day early than planned. And booked here last minute. The service and communication was amazing. The rooms is fantastic. The bathroom and shower great. Beds are so comfortable and a great night sleep. Would definitely recommend booking here”

“The rooms are a bit small but the amenities are great. The staff was friendly and location was right in city centre, only an 8 minute walk to the bus station. The soap dispensers were weird though, you have to squeeze the bottle”

“December 2024 stayed for 1 night. The room was lovely the bed very comfy ..bathroom exceptional to the little details of the mirror and heater handrails. For the low price I wasn't sure what to expect but would definately stay again. I asked for a toaster and nothing was too much trouble for the owners of this hotel. The only down side travelling with elderly couple was no lift but other then that I'd definitely be back.”

“Checked this place out, when a deal came up through Uber eats, I honestly did not expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. They left a wee note on the box, which was lovely, the base on the pizza was thin and crispy and the pizza travelled well, and looked just as good in person as on the app. Definitely a place i would visit in the future.”

The front of the house team, led by the gorgeous Vee, is sharp and fast. The restaurant team, led by Mandy, is efficient, welcoming and gregarious. “We had a very pleasant stay at Sudima Christchurch Airport Hotel and stayed in the Premium King Room. We were checked in by the friendly Wade, and we would like to thank him for his professionalism and warm hospitality. His calm composure while managing multiple big group of check ins at once was truly impressive and worth mentioning. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the pillow menu, which gave us a great night sleep. The location is also extremely convenient, it was just minutes from Christchurch Airport and within walking distance to Woolworths and several nearby food places. The free parking for hotel guests was another big plus. We also had dinner at Acheron at level 1, and were served by the welcoming Alan. We overheard he’s still a student, but we were genuinely impressed by his friendliness and service. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Would happily return!”

“We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with our two children for 3 nights. We really wanted a 24 hour reception as we were arriving in the middle of the night local time. It was a perfect and easy check in, our room was very large, perfectly cleaned and with wonderful views. It was refreshing to have the room serviced daily (something that most hotels have stopped!) and we could not fault the room. We didn’t have much to do with the staff but those we did were friendly and helpful. The best part was the hotel location. A perfect spot for what we needed - right across the road from a wonderful strip of cafes and restaurants, a laundrymat and bottle shop right next door and 5 minutes walk to an epic kids playground! I would recommend this hotel to families visiting Christchurch. I am grateful we decided to book here for the first few nights of our family holiday.”

“Very enjoyable dining experience, came here 30th November for dinner, was pretty quiet when we got there got a little busier an hour later but the service was amazing from Sage. I appreciate the food and helping us decide excellent food, I got one of the steaks.”

“The reason for our visit to the Garden Restaurant Buffet was for Christmas Lunch. This is the first time we have gone out for Christmas Lunch so was a bit dubious about it all and having read some of the reviews (mostly to be honest from just the normal buffet service) wasn't sure we had made the right decision. After getting more nervous by the day as Christmas Day came we arrived at 11.30am for our allocated 2 hour dining experience. It was busy as can be expected for Christmas Lunch. We were shown where our table was, given our drinks vouchers (one glass of bubbly or non alcoholic per person with the cost of the dining experience) Tickets for the Lunch were (I think) $180 per person and we dined with 4 adults and one child. The tables were nicely laid out with Christmas Crackers, candles and a chocolate for after per person. As it was busy (we thought booking at 11.30 would be a good time) we all decided to have a quick look through the buffet and decide what we wanted to try first. Initially we were disappointed as most of the more popular dishes were almost gone and had not been replenished but it only took a request to some of the staff for these to be quickly replenished or as quick as the chefs could get them prepared. To be honest the selection of food was more than anyone could expect for a Christmas Lunch, so many choices (food stations) and the food had their individual flavours and didn't taste like a buffet sometimes can. It was faultless and not to mention the salad station and the dessert station (if you could cram it in after the selection of mains) also available was tea and coffee and a selection of Christmas baking. I would like to thank the Garden Restaurant and Buffet for their efforts on Christmas Day, and for the staff taking time out from their families to work to feed all the people that turned up on the day. I was impressed and so were our other guests especially being first time Christmas Day buffet goers. Just thinking if we would go again, and yes we probably would. $180 per person is quite pricey but given that it's Christmas Day, the selection of food and the amount of staff that were on I considered it to be well worth. Only thing we would do next time is arrive a lot earlier or at least for the first time slot of the day. Thanks team.”

“Riverside is just awesome and Carrie and Andrew clearly love cats! Our cat Steve stayed for just under a month and he could not have been in better hands!! Steve is a very anxious cat and had never been to a Cattery before but these amazing humans had him relaxed and at ease in no time! The units are lovely, clean and we'll looked after. I absolutely 100% recommend Riverside Cattery. I cannot thank them enough!!!!”

“Good day, from the moment we arrived we were impressed by the professional attitude and service. We received a detailed briefing on the motorhome, help on the road etc, that invoked a positive feeling of confidence in us. The 7.4m vehicle was a pleasure to drive with more than adequate power. We did feel that a holder for a Tablet would be a useful extra! Every thing in the motorhome was very functional, although the double bed was tricky to make up. A few lengths of cord to stop items in the baggage compartment sliding around would be useful, as well as wheel wedges to level the motorhome, as most camp sites where we stayed were not level. “For anyone looking for a special treat then I highly recommend going to a Long Table Lunch. The service and the ambience is exceptional and you can just feel the history oozing out from inside and outside of the lodge. Chef Jimmy is an absolute whiz in the kitchen and it was a true honour to sample several of his masterpieces. I'd also like to praise the exceptional efforts the lovely Lucy took to make me and my octogenarian mother feel at home. She was a true star and we really appreciated her assistance during our meal and garden tour. It was a gorgeous excursion and an experience we will warmly cherish forever.
