Really comfortable apartment for a few nights in Christchurch, we highly enjoyed our stay. Great hot water and was quick to heat for showers, AC cooled/heated almost immediately. Central location to walk almost anywhere in Christchurch.

We booked through Air NZ so had no issues with the booking system. I booked a twin king studio and when we arrived we must have been upgraded and got a two bedroom apartment. The decor was great the beds comfortable and it was very well appointed. My only gripe would be the lights on through the night outside our room. Would definitely stay again as the location was awesome would just pack my eye mask. Thank you

I had the compact double room booked for me for work for 2 nights because our other 2 preferred places to our location were booked up. The room was TINY, as in claustrophobic, in size, and faced the busy car park and reception on the ground floor, I am a light sleeper so sleep was minimal. For this reason I would not stay here again, as the price was also quite high for what we got. Location is good for students.

The reception staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and everything seemed fine at first. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. A group of inconsiderate guests spent the night walking through the hallways, talking loudly, and slamming doors from 10 pm until nearly 6 am. On top of that, they were using the shared kitchen at 10:30 pm, which was right next to our room. The strong food smell drifted in and lingered for hours, making it impossible to rest. We reported these issues to reception that night, but nothing was done. The lack of action highlighted poor management and a lack of concern for guests’ comfort. While staff at the desk were polite, it was clear there was no effective system in place to handle noise complaints or to ensure quiet hours were respected. Management’s failure to address these problems left us with a very disappointing stay.

Fantastic location in the heart of the city, staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tiny and the beds are ridiculously small, we had twin beds and they were SO narrow! I would not stay here again because of this. The place seemed very clean but the bathroom had a really bad smell, not sure whether from the drains or the heater. For what it was I thought it was too expensive too.

Great location, very central, big rooms with lots of storage space. Big downside however is the lack of soundproofing, opening/closing doors are loud and the vehicle noise never stops as the hotel is basically built around a car park.

We stayed in room 11 on the 1st floor. You can hear people walking up the steps and the door to the 1st floor closing each time while you are in bed which is rather annoying. The apartment is tired and in need of some updating. There is no dining table and chairs, you have to eat on your lap, not ideal for a family of three. The bathroom is tiny. I have stayed at Southwark in a studio on a business trip before and the accommodation was far superior than the apartment. I would not recommend staying here with family. Someone was smoking dope and the hallway stunk of it when we entered the 1st floor lobby. We were booked to stay another couple of nights the following week but I have cancelled because we are really disappointed with the accommodation.

What a great place to stay! It was pricey compared with the other places we stayed, but well worth it. Fantastic location, walking distance to everything. Clean, spacious rooms, with laundry facilities in the room we booked.

The rooms are a bit small but the amenities are great. The staff was friendly and location was right in city centre, only an 8 minute walk to the bus station. The soap dispensers were weird though, you have to squeeze the bottle

We had a two bedroom with living room flat (no. 7). Kitchen was well equipped with good selection of tea and coffee. The rooms were large and comfortable. The best thing about the flat is the location. Many restaurants and cafes and also a large supermarket within a short walking distance. In general, you can do almost everything on foot from this hotel. What was not so nice was that right next to the flat a company offers employee training or retraining (or something). During the breaks (especially in the morning), many people are in the courtyard talking on the phone and smoking. They look quite openly from 2 metres into your living room and on to your breakfast table, so you have to close the curtains. But all in all, we would like to come again.
