We booked a table for ten for dinner and we were absolutely blown away by the attentive and professional service of all the staff in general. The dining ambiance was perfect, facility and table presentation was immaculate. We were attended by Ruwi - she was so friendly and welcoming but you could also see she was so professional. She took our entire order at once, listened attentively to each of our requests made excellent suggestions for any queries. Everything was on point - the meals came out on time, Ruwi served them all professionally whilst making each one of us feel individually special. Thank you Elms team - we will definitely be back.

Very comfy bed, however with 2 suitcase it was hard to move around the room. No dhower handle is a bit challenging. It's a great location next to Tram station and souvenir store. We had to leave early, so the hotel offered bagged breakfast.

A perfectly acceptable hotel. The best things about it are its location, it's very central and right next to New Regent street and the central tram station, and it's views, as it has commanding views of the whole city. The rooms are clean and adequate, but no more. The whole room was a bit small, with the bathroom quite narrow (I kept hitting my head on the towel rack which is right above the toilet). They provide coffee capsules and tea along with an espresso machine, which is a nice touch. There is very little storage space as the cabinet is quite small. The lobby bar and reception are nice, if a little small also. The bar is cozy and the drinks are decent. The breakfast, which was $35 per person per day, was rather disappointing. The food selection was very basic, and they weren't doing eggs to order. The included coffee was machine made. This is certainly not a 5 star hotel. It's 3-4 star. A slightly better Ibis.

Our group of seven stayed here as a part of a corporate trip. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The rooms were tidy with incredibly comfortable beds, the staff were very helpful and responded quickly when organising the booking & conference room, and the location is excellent with everything we needed being less than a 10 minute walk. We held a conference in the Forum Room, which is the on the small side but perfect for groups of up to 10-12. Everything was very reasonably priced and I couldn't fault Fable in any way.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with our two children for 3 nights. We really wanted a 24 hour reception as we were arriving in the middle of the night local time. It was a perfect and easy check in, our room was very large, perfectly cleaned and with wonderful views. It was refreshing to have the room serviced daily (something that most hotels have stopped!) and we could not fault the room. We didn’t have much to do with the staff but those we did were friendly and helpful. The best part was the hotel location. A perfect spot for what we needed - right across the road from a wonderful strip of cafes and restaurants, a laundrymat and bottle shop right next door and 5 minutes walk to an epic kids playground! I would recommend this hotel to families visiting Christchurch. I am grateful we decided to book here for the first few nights of our family holiday.

    - Room service food is very inconsistent with serving size and how it’s prepared. we ordered the same meal on multiple days and it was prepared very differently with different serving sizes daily - Fridge is extremely small compared to most hotel fridges, we couldn’t fit much at all in there - room is extremely loud overnight, constant banging and various sonds - no chrome cast, website has it listed that all rooms have it but it’s just screen mirroring that only androids can do. if you’re on an iphone then you’re out of luck - great position in the city, close to most things

I’m satisfied with the overall hotel service quality. Good: Nice clean room, 3 different size of pillows to choose from, teabags, kettle and nespresso coffee machine, mini fridge, and the other amenities provided in the room are good. Bad: Can’t open the window, no fresh air, fridge noise was loud so definitely need earplugs, low shower pressure. I haven’t tried breakfast or dinner at hotel restaurant but there are some nice restaurants and cafes located in New Regent street which is just a minute away from the hotel.

Great location, comfy bed and good service/staff in the bar, but that was not enough to compensate for the small room with weird window/balcony, lukewarm at best showers, towels not being left in our room one day after it was serviced and we couldn't even contact housekeeping.....cos the phone didn't work!! Restaurant service was average - the staff were disinterested and untrained and the cooked buffet breakfast was barely warm. We won't be back.

Bed was very comfortable, check in was polite and easy enough. $35 valet parking that was not included was less than ideal. I don't think one should have to worry about parking as an after thought at a nice hotel after a long day of travelling. It was a nice stay, but maybe not worth the $225 total for one night. I don't regret it but I might not go for it again. Thus, 4/5.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked a deluxe room and we were not disappointed. The room was very spacious, with a king-sized bed, a sofa, a desk, and a large wardrobe. The bathroom was also huge, with a jacuzzi tub, a separate shower, and two sinks. We were impressed by the amenities provided in the room, such as a coffee maker, an ironing board, and a Dyson hairdryer. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of pillows and towels to choose from. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and courteous. They greeted us warmly when we checked in and gave us some useful information about the nearby restaurants and attractions. They were always available to answer our questions or requests. The hotel had some nice facilities as well. We were on the fifth floor which had access to the gym and some extra toilets and showers. The gym was well-equipped with various machines and weights. The toilets and showers were clean and convenient. We found out that there was some free parking outside the city center which was only a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There was also free 5-minute parking in front of the hotel if we needed to drop off or pick up something. Overall, we had an amazing time at this hotel and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and luxurious place to stay.
