The rooms have been done up but the building is tired. Soundproofing isn't great. Bed wasn't great either. Room was good value for money. The location is handy: close to town, Park nearby, restaurant on the doorstep

A less than average hotel, not clean and with dated rooms. I stayed 4-nights in February, room and furnishing dated, bed was soft and worn out, noisey fridge and little ammenities. TV remote oly turned the TV on/off, no other controls worked, no air conditioning, and external door that did not lock properly. Wouldn't call it a hotel, Restaurant next door has separate owners, so no charge-back to room was available (told this is only for regular/ repeat guests), reception was not manned, even when trying to get service no one would answer phone. Would not stay here again.

Stayed here while getting our bathroom renovated. Very comfortable, newly renovated room. Missing towel rails? No where to hang hand towel or bath towels or floor mat. Over all a very nice stay for the price.

We stayed here for two nights over a weekend in March. The hotel was in a great place, good value but a handy walk into the city. The rooms had amenities including a microwave, sink, fridge and iron. The late check in went very smoothly. Unfortunately, even though we were in a non smoking room (I believe the whole hotel is), the balcony was shared and the occupants of the room next door smoked a lot, leading to our room smelling of smoke despite having the windows closed. Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay.

Disgusting. My husband and I., late 50s early 60s, tried to get a meal after a long day of lawn bowls. We were stopped at the door and asked how much we had to drink.

Great location with the park/botanical gardens across the street and easy 20 min walk to the city. Quite outdated hotel, musty and old. Bed was pretty comfortable and staff was lovely

Pricey for what you get. Rooms are dated, quite hot, need an aircon. There's no lift so you'd need to carry your suitcases up. If you need to do laundry, you'd have to wait for your turn as there's only one washing machine and dryer. Toilet and bathroom are okay. P.S. The internet was slow, connection kept dropping off.
