“One of my favorite thrift stores in Christchurch. They have a great selection of lots of things, especially larger items that other thrift stores might not have the space for. There are some clothes, but it's not as clothes-centric as other places.”

“Great shop to come and get something a little bit different for the house and it comes with amazing customer service. I loved the selection of cushions and throws on offer. I was offered APRO too which I had never heard of before and was a fantastic suggestion. It enabled me to go home and check the colours all coordinated. They didn't have everything I wanted in store but offered to order it in and I was given their sale discount on the entire order. I was given an estimated ETA and so hopefully in 2 weeks my living room will have some new life breathed into it. There is a nice selection of gifts and cards too and I often find something appropriate here for my friends/family. I also love that it's attached to a cafe. It was too busy today for me to wait and place my order and in hindsight, I should have checked the queue first and ordered my coffee before wandering around the homeware store to cut down on the wait time.”

“I had a great experience at Adairs recently when I purchased two pillows for my wife and I. The receptionist was great and the person that was assigned to help me, William, was very friendly and helpful. Generally when you visit a shop like this, you can feel a little pressure to buy something even if you're unsure it is a good match, especially if you've tried several products. I didn't get that feeling at all from Adairs: William answered all of my questions and let me try out several products without any issue. I'd definitely recommend checking out Adairs if you're looking for a good pillow and want to deal with good staff.”

“La-Z-Boy Moorhouse Avenue Christchurch has great customer service. I bought a zero gravity Altos recliner but wanted it before my overseas trip. Jeevan Sharma the salesperson promised to get it to me before the trip and delivered the heavy recliner on his own when the warehouse refused delivery on the due date! This is truly 5 star customer care. Our heartfelt gratitude to you !! FANTASTIC”

“I met Elise at the Christchurch Home Show and was surprised to learn that Kitchen studio offered kitchen renovations. We have a relatively new home, but it had a terrible painted laminate work bench and I wanted to extend the breakfast bar and add more storage. The end result exceeded our expectations, we added an instant hot water tap, some inserts to existing cupboards and a Silestone work bench. Elise colour matched our existing cupboards and the flow is seamless. Ben, our installer solved a couple of sticky problems with ease and was a perfectionist, ensuring that we got the finish we are now proud of... thanks Ben! Kitchen Studio organised the electrician and plumber for us and both arrived on time and did a great job. We are delighted with our 'new' kitchen, a huge thank you to everyone who made it happen :-)”

“5 Stars for Mark and his wonderful Team at Bates Joinery. We had extensive wooden joinery made for our house renovation back in early 2000's. Over the years the Cedar French doors through the house were badly scratched by our big dogs. Bates took them away a few weeks ago and returned them in brand new condition after careful machine sanding ( solid wooden doors are the best.) Now rehung by Bates and looking fabulous. I am thrilled with this "after sales " service 2 decades on !! Thanks very much. Rose Roberts”

Reasonable prices and even better of you can get it during one of frequent sales. Well stocked with wide range of items from lower to higher quality and prices, something for everyone’s budget. I popped in earlier, made a purchase, and then realised my Farmers Club Card hadn't been linked up properly. When I went back to the till for a quick query, Tom stepped right in. He was brilliant! He sorted the whole purchase out in a flash, making sure my card was added so I got all my points. “I was looking for a bra and decided to inquire about a bra fitting and I'm so glad I did. Despite my initial nervousness, the experience proved pleasant. A sales member began by asking my preference then checking bra fits, later consulting a colleague for another opinion. This resulted in a smooth process, and pinpointing the perfect bra. Both assistants ensured my comfort throughout. Unfortunately, I have forgotten their names but thank you so very much.”
