Thestaff behind the desk were very helpful, a few obscure problems to solve which they helped with thoroughly. I left to say "thanks guys" and the Taurus paced hard and breathed hot air, glad I wasn't wearing red

Plenty of choices, if you spend time looking around, amazing what you can find.
I notice a Few Souls on their way to the Funeral Directors lost their way. ended up here at P.Makers - leaving a one Star Token in the comments. // Not I. I Dropped in for 2 bags of Cement. Young lady SUPER helpful. Showed us the stacks in the Store room. I didn't even know cement came in so many frig'n varieties. Select 2 bags and back to check out. // Then the CHARM started: "are you too YOUNG for a gold card Sir" she politely asked ("!!" I looked behind, side to side, up down.. Nah! must be Me!!) Well phuk me!: wadaya sya wen u are 74 an can't believe such pilot yumor nevamine the spel'n? mY Best day out shop'n this yeaR.
Had what I was looking for, Alex pointed to it'll most at once. He was a huge help. When I got home realized it was wrong. Carried it back next day easy return and ordered the correct part. All staff I was involved with were over and beyond nice. Loved the visit.

Terrible customer service. The lady at the front counter was rude , lazy and completely un interested in helping me find the product I needed. Make the trip somewhere else
I purchased a dog wash unit online because my dog is alergic to pollen. Using the dog wash every day was adding up. The unit arrived and the fitting was different to what I expected. So I thought I would go the the local hardware shop for a soloution. Parking was not clearly marked, it is very easy to miss the entry. I have been 3 times to this Placemakers Kaiapoi and each time I have walked out with the incorrect item, even though I ask for help each time. The latest I was after a connection to attach my dog wash spray connection to my hot and cold taps. I brought the dog wash unit with me and I approached the young lady behind the counter showing her so I would get the correct size and connection. She said it was a hose connection and sent me to the hose connection isle at the back of the shop by myself. I am no expert but nothing looked right to me. But I trusted the advice, it is a hardware shop after all. So I picked out the closest thing I thought looked right and took it to the counter. The same lady served me, she looked at the connection and said that should do it. I paid $7.50 cash and she wished me luck! I drove home and couldn't wait to attach it. My poor dog has been itching all day and really needed his bath. It was the wrong part! I have since worked out myself it is a washing machine tap connection. If you need advice I wouldn't recommend this shop. Like I said this is the third time this has happened.
This morning we received excellent service (with a few laughs) from Ray in the timber department. Will definately go back and see him for any future requirements.
The two female staff members in the main shop were super unhelpful and made my first experience at placemakers quite unpleasant. However, the drivethrough staff made up for it with their professionalism and good cheer.
