Bought 3 bottles of earthwork shiraz for $14.99 each as they were for the last few weeks....just grabbed them as I do for the last few weeks and once at home realized they were earthwork cabernet sauvignon.....love my shiraz very disappointed....be careful when grabbing your wine or poor stacking...
I am finding that some checkout operators do not bother to say a simple hello. This morning I had to pack my own bag. It was open ready for her to drop the items in. No she just slid them through and around my bag Although I only spent $60 today, I believe it makes me eligible for a calendar. The lady in front spent $40 and got asked if she wanted one. I was not asked and never got a calendar. I have returned to N W lately because it used to have friendly service. Some operators are great and that is much appreciated. I'm am learning to work out which aisle to go through just to get some validation for shopping at your store. Perhaps this is a way of encouraging self service. Perhaps I just need to build a bridge. Either way often it's my only daily outing and poor service does not work well. Sunday 21st December Still no acknowledgement when going through checkout.
Deli ladies are wonderful, so polite and always have a smile. However, an older checkout operator could be a lot more friendly. It never hurts to smile and engage in a little conversation. In this type of work you need to leave your bad days at the door. I was also surprised that Rangiora New World don't accept Gold Card. All other New Worlds I have visited accept it.
Thank you to the lovely lady at the coffee counter who made me a tea today, despite the fact I ignored the giant sign saying the coffee counter was closed.
The staff are usually so good but this afternoon I was at the lotto counter waiting for the girl to notice me. Once she did she said she wouldn't be long then continued to dry the dishes. She then dried her hands and started putting the coffee machine back together. She then went back to the sink and started drying more dishes. I left and noticed after loading my groceries in car that someone else was waiting for her to finish the dishes
Great selection of food, and a whole aisle of excellent wine and beers. Also a lotto kiosk in store which is handy. Friendly staff assisting the self service. Even a charity fundraising sausage sizzle outside.
The staff are always friendly and if needed, helpful. The shop is bright and airy, with a great selection of items.
I enjoy shopping at New World. Their meat always presents very well and it looks fresh. Vegies much the same they too look good enough to eat!! I find that the bakery dept is too sweet. That is the biscuits and slices taste rich in sugar. When this happens ( in my opinion) there is a loss of taste in the product and the baked goods taste all the same. Not nice!
Really good supermarket that's central to town. Use it fairly regular for items forgotten from main food shop. Rangiora is awesome with so much that is in walking distance of the main streets.
