The only reason it's two stars is because they might be good at what they do but I wouldn't know, I have sent multiple emails trying to follow up for I job I want done with no response so I guess my money isn't good enough for them.
5 Stars for Mark and his wonderful Team at Bates Joinery. We had extensive wooden joinery made for our house renovation back in early 2000's. Over the years the Cedar French doors through the house were badly scratched by our big dogs. Bates took them away a few weeks ago and returned them in brand new condition after careful machine sanding ( solid wooden doors are the best.) Now rehung by Bates and looking fabulous. I am thrilled with this "after sales " service 2 decades on !! Thanks very much. Rose Roberts
December is just around the corner and still waiting for the quotes and designs from their April visit to my house. Called and sent emails with empty promises replies. Very unprofessional.

Bates designed and manufactured 2 sets of French doors they had to return twice, once to reattach 4 / 6 of the wooden cross beams and to level the top of the doors, instead of using a planer they used a sander hence they are still not satisfactory though better than first install. Would not recommend or use again.
I needed a replacement kitchen shelf for a dish drawer asap. Bates Joinery manufactured a replacement shelf within 2 hrs and I was able to complete the job in the same day. Excellent service!
I had a great experience with these guys at Bates! I was rejected by many other companies for taking on a small job due to the busy season. However, these guys at Bates joinery were awesome helping me out in the time frame I desired! Thanks a lot to Blair who got the stuff ready for us and thanks to Kathy who helped out with the account enquiry. I will definitely go back for further jobs and recommend them to others!
