“Fantastic Thai restaurant we stumbled upon as we were early for an event. The servings were generous, with perhaps a little too much meat (or so my fiance thought, though I thought it was perfect). They actually listened to us when we asked for it to be hot, as too often I get served "European hot" which is mild at best. The prices were also very low. Despite being 20 minutes drive from home, this will likely now be our go to place for Thai.”

Perfect steak, crispiest potato’s, a fun spin on the classic devilled eggs, pork chop (excuse my mess) and even the room service Club sandwich was enormous! Washed down with a great wine list and good pick me up coffee in the morning.”

I had the ‘big’ breakfast (mixed grill I think it was called?) and my fellow diner had the caponata and raved about it. I wish I photographed them before we started…. The service was also excellent. “Had my mom's 60th Birthday there. Its nice for a small intimate celebration. The food was lovely and was fresh, unlike some places you can tell its been in the warmer for a long time. Oysters were nice and fresh! The service was amazing! They topped up everytime a dish was low. Thank you so much!”

“Excellent service on Mothers day where we enjoyed a filling, value for money menu in a friendly customer focused atmosphere. We ate inside where we were able to order off a varied menu. We ordered the benediction breakfast, and the big breakfast. Both were flavourful, with generous portions. The coffee was hot, and well made, in fact we ordered another at the end of our meal, taking our time to catch up without feeling rushed. We met Shaheen the owners wife who was checking to see that we were okay. Thank you to the chef, barista, and welcoming staff who made my mother's day very special.”

Great serving size, not huge but the quality was excellent. and the coffee had a nice strength and flavour, the perfect cup! The place was very clean, staff lovely, not too busy and varied seating, easy parking and nice location. Could do with more street signage”

“I recently dined at Miyuki restaurant, and the experience was delightful. The food was delicious, with the sushi and tuna standing out for their freshness. The egg chicken katsu was flavorful, and the broth was perfect for a chilly day. Although the teriyaki eel was a bit too sweet for my taste, it was still enjoyable. Overall, the prices were affordable, making it a great value for the quality of food served.”

“Mamak was a wonderful spot to catch up and enjoy some warm, comforting food. I had dinner there with two friends. Since I had heard their roti is popular, I ordered it along with a curry chicken laksa. Even though it was a Wednesday, the place still had a nice crowd. The laksa was hearty and delicious, and the roti was perfect for dipping. Definitely a place I would recommend!”

“Me and my colleagues had a birthday dinner here, and it was such a lovely evening. The food was amazing and authentic Thai surely, I want to confirm it as a Thai person. The place was nice and crowded, so I’d definitely recommend you to book a reservation in advance if you don’t wanna wait a long time for the table. The staffs were nice and understood that we did truly want Thai food in a Thai version for Thai people, not like some restaurants where they water down and make it too sweet to satisfy those who are not Thai and cannot handle the spicy food.”

“Place of good food with nice environment and one side lake. There are hips of car parking. There entrance are very wheelchair and strollers friendly. They have lots of entrance and entry options. This is the great place for buffet or party or conference with staying in there hotels. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They just cleaned the tables within seconds. You don’t worry about used plates. All staffs are very responsive. They will give you super first for your services.”

“My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and we’ll definitely being going back. Each meal was well presented and delicious! Tastier than other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. There is so much more on the menu I want to try. Was lovely just the two of us, but can imagine even better with a larger group and sharing more meals. Our meals came out with some time between them so I did get dinner envy of others I saw. But when ours arrived it was totally worth the wait. You def need to try this one. “I am so mad that ive left it so long to eat here! Honestly one of the best curries ive ever had, beautiful rich flavors, perfectly cooked meat and perfect heat! Even my daughters butter chicken which im usually not a fan of at all, had so much depth and more flavor than ive ever had in a butter chicken. Max, sir you are a gentleman and I appreciate you taking the time to talk about your flavors as well and for having such a friendly and inviting attitude. Amazing food, amazing service all round couldn't be happier and this will most definitely our go to from now on.”

The food was AMAZING, this is my second time eating at this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back! I have tried the pad Thai, Tom yum, green curry, squid tentacles. The portions are massive and the prices are very cheap. I make the mistake of ordering entrees and can’t finish my main. The pina coladas are genuinely the best iv ever had and only $10!! I live on the coast but make the journey to Albany because it’s worth it :)”

“This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in the North Shore and probably Auckland. The foods flavour was really good. My friends got a variety of dishes; and all tasted perfect. The meals were very reasonable priced, the portion sizes were large. During the meal, the kind lady (owner I’m guessing) asked us multiple times if we needed more rice or extras. There was a few other people coming in and out, as they were picking up their takeaway meals, which proves it’s popular with the locals. I have seen some of the other reviews and this place is deserving of them all. I definitely would eat here again!”

“Double Happy gives you great value for money. The food is delicious, and always cooked fresh. The place is simple but very clean. If you’re dining in, cutlery, condiments and free tea are self-service. My favourite dish from here is the Stir Fried Pork Belly with Cabbage (extra spicy), highly recommend.”

“OMG! How did we not find out about this place sooner?!!! It's so close to home and plenty of free parking available nearby. This is a local hidden gem and such a great restaurant for genuine Italian food. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and was absolutely spotless! Staff were very welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our dining experience. We have never had better garlic pizza bread, as it just melted in your mouth. We both had a prawn cocktail for our entree, which was so packed full of prawns and scrumptious. I was beginning to get a bit full after all this, but I got halfway through an entree size calamari that was also tender and delicious. This is now going to be our new favourite place and if I don't overdo the garlic bread again, perhaps I will even get to try the desserts, too!!!”
