   Slow service and a little shabby in terms of decor and location - but promising. This Japanese restaurant has a nice menu… but unfortunately also at least three other additional menus to please ppl… from karaage chicken burgers to “Chinese” stir fry. A focus on fresh, high quality produce on a small menu in popular traditional Japanese style would serve well. The staff are kind and it has promise but the lighting is so harsh overhead (no light shades), the decor is mostly plastic plants (worst kind), and the prices are high enough to expect more.

   I had a craving for sushi and this was the only place open at 8:30pm, I felt bad for coming so late for takeaways but oh my word! They were so kind and friendly, and to top it off, the food was amazing! The karaage chicken was delicious, best I ever had. The lady there let me try it with their special sauce as well before giving me my order. Sushi was divine as well! Will definitely be coming back. Such a cute little nook, and the atmosphere was relaxing!

   My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and we’ll definitely being going back. Each meal was well presented and delicious! Tastier than other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. There is so much more on the menu I want to try. Was lovely just the two of us, but can imagine even better with a larger group and sharing more meals. Our meals came out with some time between them so I did get dinner envy of others I saw. But when ours arrived it was totally worth the wait. You def need to try this one. My latest east Auckland fav.

   Lovely & relaxing ambience, very clean & tidy restaurant. Staff were respectful & friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the sashimi platter tasted very fresh and a piece of art. Prices were standard for a Japanese eatery. This was my second visit for dinner and I've enjoyed lunch there too!

   Very happy with the food I was served. Good quantity and quality, as well as the presentation. It was quite let down by the service, as things didn’t arrive in one go. Eg, even my guests who ordered the same food had to wait more than 10mins apart. Very odd, seeing that the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Perhaps it was a one off. Further investigations are required….

   These are amazing cuisines.I highly recommend IZAKAYA ,Exquisite Japanese cuisine can be described as a work of art that tantalizes all the senses with its perfect combination of color, aroma, and flavor. IAZAKA master chef made these traditional Japanese dishes never fails to amaze with its visually stunning presentation, and attention to detail in every dish. truly remarkable culinary art forms.

   Newly opened Japanese Restaurant in Howick, so there may be something minor issues. We booked at 5.30pm for dinner, as I was not sure how busy it would get. There weren't many people at this time. The first few dishes came out fairly fast and the food was very tasty. However, the Bao Buns we ordered were not up to standard. The bun was dry and tough. When we brought this to their attention, they apologised and refunded the dish when I settled the bill.
