“It's my favorite indian food place. The food is always nice, quick service, good deal price and friendly hospitality. BYO wine, but they also have the wine and beer selection menu. We had chicken tikka as a starter. Main dishes were butter fish, mango chicken, lamb rogan josh, and cheese naan. It was so delicious.”

“Second time in seven days trying this restaurant and I really wish I’d known about it sooner. So far I’ve tried the prawn chow mein, sweet and sour pork, black bean combination on rice, seasonal vegetables with garlic sauce and their wontons. Absolutely no complaints. I’m not even usually that big on Chinese takeaways but the service and amount of meat and vegetables is great, sauce is tasty, portion size is generous, service is outstanding. Wontons have crispy deep fried wrapper and actually have a good serve of meat in them!! Looking forward to my next meal with them to try some more dishes.”

“I recently dined at Langkawi Restaurant in Auckland and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was bursting with authentic Malaysian flavors, and the service was warm and welcoming. I ordered the **Hainanese Chicken on Rice** and the **Banana Prawn Laksa**, and both dishes were outstanding. The **Hainanese Chicken on Rice** was a standout – the chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, perfectly paired with fragrant rice cooked in chicken broth. The accompanying sauces (ginger, chili, and soy) added layers of flavor that made every bite a delight. It’s a simple dish, but Langkawi executed it flawlessly. The **Banana Prawn Laksa** was equally impressive. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with a beautiful balance of spicy, sweet, and tangy flavors. The prawns were fresh and succulent, and the noodles had the perfect texture. Every spoonful was a comforting explosion of taste – it’s easily one of the best laksas I’ve had in Auckland. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was thoughtful, making the meal feel special. The restaurant itself has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. If you’re craving authentic Malaysian cuisine, Langkawi is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes from their menu. “I am so mad that ive left it so long to eat here! Honestly one of the best curries ive ever had, beautiful rich flavors, perfectly cooked meat and perfect heat! Even my daughters butter chicken which im usually not a fan of at all, had so much depth and more flavor than ive ever had in a butter chicken. Max, sir you are a gentleman and I appreciate you taking the time to talk about your flavors as well and for having such a friendly and inviting attitude. Amazing food, amazing service all round couldn't be happier and this will most definitely our go to from now on.”

“5 stars all round. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. The service was quick and efficient. The food was AMAZING, this is my second time eating at this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back! I have tried the pad Thai, Tom yum, green curry, squid tentacles. The portions are massive and the prices are very cheap. I make the mistake of ordering entrees and can’t finish my main. The pina coladas are genuinely the best iv ever had and only $10!! I live on the coast but make the journey to Albany because it’s worth it :)”

“This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in the North Shore and probably Auckland. The foods flavour was really good. My friends got a variety of dishes; and all tasted perfect. The meals were very reasonable priced, the portion sizes were large. During the meal, the kind lady (owner I’m guessing) asked us multiple times if we needed more rice or extras. There was a few other people coming in and out, as they were picking up their takeaway meals, which proves it’s popular with the locals. I have seen some of the other reviews and this place is deserving of them all. I definitely would eat here again!”

“Double Happy gives you great value for money. The food is delicious, and always cooked fresh. The place is simple but very clean. If you’re dining in, cutlery, condiments and free tea are self-service. My favourite dish from here is the Stir Fried Pork Belly with Cabbage (extra spicy), highly recommend.”

“OMG! How did we not find out about this place sooner?!!! It's so close to home and plenty of free parking available nearby. This is a local hidden gem and such a great restaurant for genuine Italian food. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and was absolutely spotless! Staff were very welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our dining experience. We have never had better garlic pizza bread, as it just melted in your mouth. We both had a prawn cocktail for our entree, which was so packed full of prawns and scrumptious. I was beginning to get a bit full after all this, but I got halfway through an entree size calamari that was also tender and delicious. This is now going to be our new favourite place and if I don't overdo the garlic bread again, perhaps I will even get to try the desserts, too!!!”

“I have been here a few times but never posted a review before. Lovely food. Very tasty and flavourful. Spring rolls, curry puffs, prawn Penang curry, spicy fried rice, pad Thai and steamed rice. Portion size was meh but this is not your regular Chinese takeaway so don’t expect the same. Overall great food and good service”

“This place has great food, but it's a hole in the wall, almost literally. It opened at noon and you have to go down this long hallway with bottles hanging. You sit on rickety wooden crates, there are 3 different rooms or sections. See if you can get the one in the back it's very laid back. We tried almost Eveything, I'd say you have a hard time finding something that you don't enjoy. Try the thumbs up if you're looking for Pepsi or coke.”

“We came here around 9 years ago and remembering how good it was we brought some friends and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Olive was fabulous, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was all divine. The staff are welcoming and friendly and celebrate you eating all you can. It's easy to get to from the city by catching a ferry as it takes you almost right to the door. This is an experience restaurant that is worth every dollar.”
