“The Hunting Lodge is such a beautiful wedding venue. As a wedding photographer, I always love shooting here. The grounds are stunning year-round, and the sunsets over the vineyards are next level. There are several ceremony options, including right at the edge of the vines or beside the iconic Barn. I also love the vintage caravan bar, it adds such a fun, relaxed energy and looks amazing in photos! With their in-house wine, relaxed vibe, and versatile indoor-outdoor flow, The Hunting Lodge is one of the best winery venues in Auckland :)”

“Good service, the waiter let us sit on a table for 4 after ai asked even though there were only my friend and I. The food was very tasty, my friend is a chef and he tried the salmon and said it was fresh caught. Nice and quiet environment, probably also because we got there after 3PM. Anyway, very nice eating experience.”

“Amazing staff! Such great people. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional and bringing the chill vibes. The range of drinks is outstanding- great pints and they even have our fav; Morning Cider. The building is beautiful - old world solid wood with plenty of intriguing curiosities gracing the walls. There are cozy spots hidden all round the venue so it can feel intimate even when crowded. Decent food - we weren’t big fans of the wings ‘cause we like them classic-style with crispy skin, but we’re from London so we get picky when it comes to fried chicken, these are American Buffalo style as stated on the menu. This is, however, the best pub on the waterfront. We go here whenever we’re doing a shoot in town and the team are brilliant hosts. Thanks guys!”

“I have been wanting to visit this place for a while to have their famous roast and was worth the wait. I also like the atmosphere. Very good bar and a fantastic place to watch sports. Update: Normally I always go for the amazing Sunday roast dinner, but on my last visit I noticed the updated menu and saw they had Gammon, Egg, and Pineapple with hand-cut fries. I haven’t had that in years, and it’s rare to see on a menu these days. The nostalgic taste was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. I would highly recommend booking in advance for a table in the weekends as this places gets busy and I can see why. Still fantastic service and great staff.”

“We had a birthday dinner for my mum and the food and drinks were amazing. I had the passionfruit mocktail which was out of this world! Tried a variety of dishes and enjoyed all of them. The pork was succulent, the octopus was soft and delicious. Fish burger and truffle fries with Parmesan to die for. This is a beautiful restaurant atmosphere with excellent food and drink options and would highly recommend”

“Amazing food. Amazing service. I booked through the “first table app” for something new and different. If it wasn’t for the “first table app” I wouldn’t have discovered this little gem. I wasn’t expecting such delicious food. Very tasty and comforting food. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family. I hope to be back again for the cream brûlée because it was to die for. The only down side is it’s noisy depending on the day you go, parking can be difficult and the bathroom is not maintained properly but other than that the place is perfect.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Outstanding Experience — Joe’s Garage Has Our Hearts! We first discovered Joe’s Garage in Queenstown and instantly fell in love — the food, the layout, the vibe… everything was perfect. But the real star for us was the pancakes, which our daughter adored. For a whole year she talked about them and couldn’t wait to go back as we were from Auckland. So when we found out there was a Joe’s Garage in Silverdale, we were thrilled — even though we live all the way in Henderson, we were more than happy to make the trip. We finally arrived, excited and ready… only to learn that the famous pancakes are only served before 5pm, and we had arrived at 6:30pm. Our daughter was devastated, and honestly, so were we. But this is where the magic happened. Our wonderful server Tyra (who was also managing that evening) could see how much it meant to our daughter. We politely asked if there was any chance the chef might be able to make an exception. Instead of giving us a flat no, Tyra said, “Let me see what I can do.” She went to speak with the kitchen team, and came back with the most heartwarming news — their chef Hunter was willing to make a fresh batch of pancakes from scratch, just for our daughter. We were genuinely moved. This wasn’t standard service — this was above and beyond. Tyra’s kindness, and Hunter’s willingness to go out of his way, created a moment our family will never forget. Because of this experience, Joe’s Garage will forever have a special place in our hearts. Wherever we see a Joe’s Garage in the world, we’ll be loyal supporters — and our daughter will too. “We had a wonderful dining experience. The place seemed more like a bar at first, but the food truly amazed me. The focaccia was soft and airy, and the steak was juicy and fresh. Everything was full of flavor, and I especially loved the salad and the paper corn sauce! The manager kindly agreed to let us sit outside and even turned on the cool fire heater, although it did take a bit of time to warm up in the freezing winter! We loved the experience and will definitely come back to dine at this place again.”

“Look. If you want to feel looked after and have a good feed come here. The staff are excellent and the food is delicious, second time being here and it’s still as good as the first time. I came back the second time because I knew that this place would be outstanding. I made good memories here with friends. Not gonna lie, this will be the worst part about leaving NZ. So if you come to Auckland and don’t want delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere to have a few pints in, aswell as be treated so bloody well by the staff. Go somewhere else.”

“Our dinner at Mumbaiwala was lovely. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The only reason that I gave 4 stars and not 5 for food was because they made my friends curry hot when she wanted mild, and my curry was mild when I wanted hot. We switched dishes as they were very busy! Our bill for 4 with alcohol was $292 but was $198 after our discount. Awesome. We had appetizer's and mains and everything was delicious! Highly recommend.”

The service was on point and Ben was always on hand with any help and serving the food. All our guests enjoyed it so much and promised to return. The food was great!
