Small compact ground floor bar, a few outside seats. Stairs to toilets and upstairs seating and pool table. Nice atmosphere, Guinness and Kilkenny on draught at reasonable cost.
Great little bar-excellent scotch selection. Happy hour until 7pm-good place for a pre dinner drink or a beer on the way home. Not a lot of seating but very welcoming!
The Fiddler Irish Bar is conveniently located next to the Sky Tower, making it easily identifiable with its prominent signage. This establishment features a variety of seating options, including outdoor, indoor, counter seating, and a second-floor patio. Notably, the bar spans two stories, with the second floor also housing a pool table for patrons to enjoy. For those visiting in cooler weather, the second-floor patio is equipped with heating lamps to enhance comfort. The service at The Fiddler is noted for being prompt. During my visit, the staff demonstrated responsible service by politely declining to serve drinks to a young man who had consumed too much alcohol. This commitment to responsible service is commendable.
Hands down this is one of my favorite spots in all of Auckland. Everyone here is super friendly with incredible vibes, fantastic bartenders, great locally sourced beers, and yummy cocktails. Location is a plus with fantastic views from the rooftop on a sunny clear and breezy summer day. This was my first time in New Zealand visiting from the US and I would highly recommend this bar to everyone looking for a good chill spot to lounge and meet new people. I loved it so much I stopped in for drinks several times while walking throughout this beautiful city. Great food selection nearby too!
Ordered Guinness on tap and sat outside people watch. Scary incident when a guy walked in, talking nonsense and acted weird. Bartender called police and it took some time for the man to finally reluctantly leave. I was uncomfortable when the matter unfolded but admired how calm and stern the staff was. She handled the situation professionally. Other than this crazy episode, The Fiddler was a cool place to have drinks and hang out. There's even a second floor open air area, perfect for a good weather day. Will recommend.

It's a nice but too calm (would say quiet) place. They have a second floor with a pool table and a little terrace.

Very nice bar with a super lovely german manager. They have live music from ca. 8pm til midnight. Beer costs around 8 till 10$, thats a little bit more compared to other locations in that area, but you get pretty good beer. In summer it gets crowded a lot, so be there early.
