   The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. We spent a good few hours there catching up and never once felt rushed to leave. We even changed tables halfway through as it became busier and a bit noisy — completely understandable being the week before Christmas. I also loved that they’re dog-friendly, even though I didn’t have mine with me this time. The food was great, with plenty to choose from, and the convenient parking right outside was a real bonus. All in all, it was a really good experience.

   Joe’s Garage in Silverdale never misses. Coffee is always on point and the breakfasts are hard to beat. If you’re going in the morning, get the Gorgeous George, it’s the standout. Dinner delivers as well. The JFC chicken is a favourite and the portions are generous. Service has been consistently solid every time we’ve been. The lime milkshakes are a go-to for the kids, and the big-bottle Lion Reds hit the spot during a quiet Sunday session. We’ve had a couple of events here too and they handled everything without fuss. Easy place to recommend and go here regularly.

   Drove past countless times before giving it a try to meet over one beer. Turned out to be the evening and a different kind of pub/ restaurant with great choices of beer on tab plus great food menu and really good pizza options at not over the top pricing. You can start with one of their specials too. Plenty of seating options to have a conversation and dog water bowl is included just like a wifi connection and an extended parking option. If you stay for longer than 90mins don’t forget to put your rego into the tablet at the entrance or you’ll get a ticket. That would spoil the otherwise great experience here!

   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Outstanding Experience — Joe’s Garage Has Our Hearts! We first discovered Joe’s Garage in Queenstown and instantly fell in love — the food, the layout, the vibe… everything was perfect. But the real star for us was the pancakes, which our daughter adored. For a whole year she talked about them and couldn’t wait to go back as we were from Auckland. So when we found out there was a Joe’s Garage in Silverdale, we were thrilled — even though we live all the way in Henderson, we were more than happy to make the trip. We finally arrived, excited and ready… only to learn that the famous pancakes are only served before 5pm, and we had arrived at 6:30pm. Our daughter was devastated, and honestly, so were we. But this is where the magic happened. Our wonderful server Tyra (who was also managing that evening) could see how much it meant to our daughter. We politely asked if there was any chance the chef might be able to make an exception. Instead of giving us a flat no, Tyra said, “Let me see what I can do.” She went to speak with the kitchen team, and came back with the most heartwarming news — their chef Hunter was willing to make a fresh batch of pancakes from scratch, just for our daughter. We were genuinely moved. This wasn’t standard service — this was above and beyond. Tyra’s kindness, and Hunter’s willingness to go out of his way, created a moment our family will never forget. Because of this experience, Joe’s Garage will forever have a special place in our hearts. Wherever we see a Joe’s Garage in the world, we’ll be loyal supporters — and our daughter will too. A massive thank you to Tyra (server & manager) and Hunter (chef) for turning a sad moment into such a beautiful memory. You made our daughter’s day, and ours. ❤️ Ray from Henderson

   We order the chicken burger with Ginger ale Loved the service and the food was so wholesome We are able to choose kumara fries with our burger instead of normal potato fries .. it was yum Great experience overall ..

   Iceberg Wedge is definitely an interesting dish… coffee sizes are a bit too small, overall great service and environment, I like that they allow dogs inside the restaurant, it’s pretty cool!

   Great understanding of coeliac and GF. Food was great, especially the fried chicken. This is hard to find GF so was great to see they had a dedicated GF frier. Staff were friendly, also had a cool service button on the table. Only downside is it's a bit noisy right beside the main road.

   Went here for my birthday! The staff were really friendly and we loved the vibe of the restaurant. Our little one loved that there were some toys for him to play with while we were waiting for our food! I had the beef burger, it was good! Only points would be that the burger seemed a little tough. Chips were really great and enjoyed the meal as a whole. My son had the sausages and chips, and he loved the octopus shapes! Thanks for a great night out. Looking forward to this being a regular for date nights that don’t break the budget.
