“Best café with great prices for their food! I love that they use garlic pita bread, and their unique sauce-on-sauce combo really sets them apart from other kebab shops. Definitely recommend!”
“We drive past this place almost on a daily and finally had a chance to visit tonight. My wife and I had the most amazing evening at Blue Ox Babe Pukekohe. From the moment we walked in, the staff were exceptional hosts and welcoming. The food was pure magic!! Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you Blue Ox Babe.”
“Slow Lane: oh, my goodness - incredible! Apparently they were understaffed when we visited (during rush hour) but their customer service did not slow/suffer at all. Amazing, friendly service. Decent sized, tasty meals. We will definitely go again!”
“Little Jimmy exceeded expectations. It was pretty busy on a Saturday lunchtime but it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Service was friendly and extremely quick. Great menu, and the food was lovely. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and couldn't fault any aspect of it. Good wine list and excellent coffee.”
“Just want to thank Tim for doing an amazing job. He was so accomodating to our last minute request to come back for drinks in the covered outdoor area. Such a lovely atmosphere fairy lights, fires and tasteful surrounds. The small touches he made like water in stylish brown bottles and beautiful cheese platters and antipasto boards made for a great vibe. It would be a perfect place for a 40-50-60 th birthday . A great chilled relaxed stylish space, even room for a dance floor and your own bar. Thanks Tim Marnie”
“Had lunch here over the weekend with our two little boys, the staff are so friendly, went out of their way to help us move when it started raining and super friendly to us and our boys. The food is amazing too! The Korean chicken was our fave. Highly recommend this place has the perks of being in the city without the hustle and bustle of pedestrians walking past.”
“Amazing customer service for our small group today & the food was fresh, plenty of & super delicious. We were so pleased to find a lovely airy cafe in this heat, where we could talk and have plenty of space to enjoy it all. We will be back.”
“Great service. Amazing food. Been a several times. Happily take family. Family friendly within reasonable hours. Kids love it and they loved the food. Thanks so much for the hospitality.”
“I love this place! I was in Auckland for a 3 week time period and visited this restaurant on three different occasions. The staff is nice and the food comes to the table in a timely manner. The yogurt soju cocktail is a great option to share with friends. The King's Katsu menu item was my personal favorite and is great with either sauce option. It is also in a very good location in the CBD of Auckland and offers a place to eat during a day of exploring the city. Highly recommend it.”
“Very impressive food, fresh and great tasting, good size portions.. Really nice owners that take care of you No complaints”
“High streets best kept secret! Visit on a sunny day for a beautiful outdoor escape or a rainy one for a cozy coffee (the heaters / cover work wonders). Coffee and service is always 10/10, and the Bacon Benedict is always hits the spot. Love that they also support local businesses as well. Definitely visit if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful brunch spot in the CBD.”
“The food was just spectacular. Every bite was another indulgent flavor to experience. I personally enjoyed the Lemon Leek Risotto, it was tangy and perfectly cheesy. The service was so nice and friendly. I sure felt welcome to have the delicious food. The setting is very cute if you enjoy two spaces coming together nicely. If not such a fan of the bar there is a more divided section of tables not visible to the bar. Both settings were very enjoyable. The walk into the restaraunt was very cute and gave me a good feeling, and the feeling was right! Enjoy your food and place at the same time. I really recommend it!”
“Picked up a Cashew Chicken Noodle, a Sweet and Sour chicken with rice, a yellow curry with rice and some Spring Rolls for my family up from Dunedin today at WoknNoodle Mt Eden. They absolutely loved it. It fed 5 of us for lunch! Thanks Lee, your food always hits the spot!”
“We had the most fantastic experience at Mudbrick - I highly recommend visiting! Brooke did our tasting, she was so friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. The wine was absolutely delicious (we went for the “Waiheke Tasting” and we loved all four of the wines). We sat outside, the views were incredible across the island and Auckland in the background. The waiting staff were friendly and the food was absolutely delicious and so aesthetically pleasing. The foccacia was the best I’ve ever tasted!”
“Great food, service and atmosphere early Friday evening. Happy hour drinks are great value. Not been here for some time but will definitely be going again”
“Wow, the "Steak Night" was fantastic. Normally my wife does not allow me to order steak, as 99 times out of 100, the chef does not know how to cook it, or it has not been aged, or the thickness is inconsistent I.e thick at one end and thin at the other. And I complain about it. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the friends I went with talked the restaurant up. We got there around 7 pm, and the place was buzzing, a really good atmosphere with locals obviously supporting this restaurant. The steak was spot on, asked for medium rare, and received a good sized portion of a very tender medium rare scotch fillet with mushroom sauce. Fries and a fresh garden salad finished of a simple but great meal. Yes, i took the time to go and thank the team in the kitchen for a great meal. My friends tell me Taco Night is also well worth going to, so I reckon my wife and I will have to make the journey North from Hamilton to do just that. 100% recommend this restaurant. Oh, one of our friends is celiac, and they were able to cater for her with GF fries and GF Salt and Pepper squid.”
“Such a gem! One of the best meals we had in NZ. The ceviche will change your life. We were basically licking the plate. Cocktails were fantastic. Doesn’t feel as touristy as other spots on the island which is nice as well. We were only stopping in for a snack and it was so good we ended up doing full blown dinner here. View of the ocean down the road from outdoor seating. Thank you to the chefs and wait staff for a wonderful meal and time!!!”
“Six years on, and nothing else compares to this place. The ambiance remains exceptional, and the food is even better. With an extensive selection of wines and drinks to perfectly complement the meals, and authentic flavours that transport you straight to their roots, this spot truly stands out. Hats off to Sunil and the team for building such an outstanding experience.”
“We had the most beautiful dinner. We had pizza and seafood crepe for starters. Eye fillet for main and creme brulee and Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was on the spot, fast service and lovely Melanija serving us. True Italian experience with authentic food, wood fire . Big recommendation”
“I bought this bathure chole today at lunchtime, and I’m absolutely loving it! It’s super soft, cozy, and comfortable—perfect taste . Love it So Yum Best in north shore. I have tried everything but no comparison at all. So yummy and completely Indain style what I was looking for.”
“It was a good sunny day and Bodega was the best place to have lunch. Food was great, service was fast and friendly. Great menu with lots of choices. Meat ball pasta special for today was just too good . Plenty of parking available.”
“Thanks to the legends at Morningside Tavern. Me and two other mates held a shared birthday event with apx 55 people and it couldn't have gone better. Despite some initial miscommunication (from us), the team went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food and service was excellent, venue is stunning. I highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to host a function. (very reasonable minimum spend also). Thanks team!”
“Great selection of fresh delicious beer. Burgers very impressive. The loaded waffle fries were great, but did have a sweetness and a slight cinnamon spice. Was a little unusual but still good.”
“Fantastic local. It’s super hard not to make new friends there. Great local craft beers. Intimate. Friendly. Unprentious”
“Decided to have a late lunch at 9bowls after a bloody hot day at work. I've ordered the Korean Fried Chicken set and it was delicious! The staffs was very attentive and caring, making sure I am well sorted. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and breathes good vibes. Would definitely recommend people to come try 9bowls out.”
“A nice place to chill and have a beverage after work”
The kitchen at Gastronomics Restaurant Cafe & Bar takes a simple, bistro‑style path and lets the food speak. A sensible spend for the spread. Service stays present without fuss. Meals reach the pass promptly.
“Didn't taste the food but the beers were amazing. Did an impromptu visit with some close friends on late Saturday morning. It was wet and drizzling but the open air pub felt right at home. Child and pet friendly too.”
“Had the best Bacon and Eggs in any cafe ever and I travel across Auckland a lot. Toast and poached eggs were perfect and bacon was amazing. Flat white was great too! Thoroughly recommend.”
“Great food. Outstanding service. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Auckland. Welldone guys”
