   I've always loved the cozy atmosphere in Galbraiths with a hand pull ale - makes me feel like I'm back home. Enjoyed a decent fish and chips there the other week too. Other than the beer, maybe the best part is the awesome beer garden. Whilst I saw Galbraiths as a winter pub for years, now it is one of my favourite spots to sit in the garden. Plenty of shade, but also plenty of sun, beautiful plants and a great atmosphere

   We visited Galbraith's on a Saturday afternoon in June, and we were welcomed with a warm fire indoors, an open fire outdoors and fantastic seating in the beer garden. We saw that roast dinner was available on Sundays, so we booked for the following day. The Sunday roast was well presented, and service was fast, despite being very busy. The beer brewed on site was great. If you intend to try a roast make sure you book it with the staff. *Update* Visited again in September after a walk a Mount Eden in the evening. The wood fire was still roaring away, making a very pleasant environment to enjoy our post walk refreshment.

   A classic and ‘traditional’ pub that retains all the charm of an ‘old’ English establishment while still presenting a modern look in to he art of brewing. A very popular meeting place with a great menu and a welcoming vibe…including a good selection of drinks.

   Impressive gastro-pub! Lovely beer garden, open fires, traditional wooden architecture, beautiful pints on tap and really good food. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive yet relaxed. The secret garden at the back has outdoor bean bags, flower gardens, sun umbrellas and a little bar and bbq. They also brew onsite. We had such a lovely time. I don’t expect a huge pub in the middle of town to have such great food! So pleasantly surprised. Fresh, succulent prawns, perfectly cooked with handmade soft tacos and some bite to them. Beautiful delicate dumplings (though serving in a soup not a broth was a bit different). It’s one of the best pubs in Auckland, easily. Just came from living in London 15 years and it’s nice to have a slice of proper pub in town. Thanks team!

   Our favourite local! Amazing beers, food and service! Plus, last night I left my handbag there accidentally and the staff member there (Ali) was so wonderful about it. She totally made my day by keeping it safe and being so empathetic! Could not recommend this place enough!

   The fish and chips looked amazing I had the vegetarian burger which was great but I'm afraid the beer has been left behind in the last decade or so. It reminds me of the the Shakespeare tavern in that regard.I had the Munich Lager and Stout. These were OK but just not competing in the local Garage Project or Behemoth league.

   Just 5 minutes walking distance from my rental apartments and it's easy to find parking around the bar, as well as the public transportation (bus). The atmosphere there was good and they brewery their own beers and provide some guest breweries options. However, one jug beer cost me over 50 dollars and I don't think it deserves it. Maybe Good George would be the best choice for me.
