“The Hunting Lodge is such a beautiful wedding venue. As a wedding photographer, I always love shooting here. The grounds are stunning year-round, and the sunsets over the vineyards are next level. There are several ceremony options, including right at the edge of the vines or beside the iconic Barn. I also love the vintage caravan bar, it adds such a fun, relaxed energy and looks amazing in photos! With their in-house wine, relaxed vibe, and versatile indoor-outdoor flow, The Hunting Lodge is one of the best winery venues in Auckland :)”

The sushi I wanted was not available but they made it quickly for me and it was delicious. No complaints here. Additional notes.. limited parking on site, may have to park in the garage around the back .”

Greeted by friendly staff and taken straight to our table on a busy Saturday (we had booked and would probably recommend as was very busy) Companion had the kumara burger and it was delicious. I had the platter "for 2" which was phenomenal decent portion of each item and all were delicious. We then had desserts and they were very tasty. All the staff were very nice too. Will definitely be back!”

“Last night, after dinner was done, we went on a wild goose chase to find the holy grail of coffee and dessert spots - and boy, did we hit the mother lode with this place! The coffee was off the charts and the apple crumble was so divine it should have its own fan club - the chef is a culinary rock god! We also fell head over heels for the staff's super friendly vibes, especially Pranav, who's probably the nicest human on the planet. We ended up coming back for breakfast today and it was totally worth it - we can't recommend this place enough and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!”

“So I was invited to do a collab on a collab between Gen Z influencers @wezgudinc (on IG and YT go follow and subscribe) and Flaming Onion Browns Bay. They are reviewing the best cheeseburger in town. The branch in Birkenhead is phenomenal cos I have had food from there during lockdown and it’s still memorable! So we rock up to the Browns Bay branch and let me tell you they do not disappoint! Sham was on duty that day and he made a platter of delectable food! The cheeseburger was spot on! And the loaded fries were enthused by the pulled pork on top. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside! Totally worth the visit and cost. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

We ordered the buffalo wings (next time we'll go for the hot ones—these were mild but still tasty), shoestring fries, the pulled pork burger, and the beef brisket burger. Everything was fresh and satisfying, especially the burgers which were full of flavour. Special shoutout to Nelli for her fantastic service—she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome. We sat outside, which was perfect for a chill afternoon, watching the world go by. Definitely a spot we’d come back to for a relaxed meal and good vibes.”
